Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Ive got to say that Im impressed with the TRUCK so far. Compared to our 1988 Toyota Land Cruise and our 1999 Ford Expedition-which we still own, the QX-56 is leaps and bounds ahead in terms of sophistication, quality, power, and comfort. That being said, the QX-56 is still a truck albeit a very refined, heavy and powerful one. This car will be my wifes daily driver which she will use to haul our kids around to their activities and our weekly drives to Tahoe once the snow starts falling.

I just picked up one of these with the sports package, being a Toyota and Lexus owner for years I wanted a new drive experience, These G35s perform well, very fast and just a great feeling of quality, Bose system sounds great.

Phenomenal performance goes along with high fuel consumption. Level of comfort, and quality of interior first rate. Infiniti service second to none. Last three cars were Cadillac STS

Killer looks, surprising performance, unbeatable value, and almost perfect blend of luxury and performance. The G35 sedan/coupe redefines what it means to be an Infiniti.

  • Great but not quite perfect - 2003 Infiniti G35

The G35 sports coupe is a joy to drive - the engine and drivetrain are first-rate. Handling and braking are good, although the brakes can take some getting used to. The styling of the car is absolutely gorgeous on the outside, with or without the spoiler. I particularly like the xenon headlights and LED taillights - the car looks great at night too. The interior is a bit less stylish - somewhat of a PDA/Rocketship styling to its dash, but the leather seats are very, very comfortable. The stereo could be improved and the dash titanium plastic seems prone to scratches. NAV system is first-rate as well and the pop-up feature is very nice.

I bought this car with only 18k miles on it and since that I have driven 30k miles. Within these time dealership had to change Transmission 3 times, Stereo Cluster 5 timea and they still doesnt work. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. Built in USA by USA and IT Freaking DISGUSTING!!! Breaks apart, Noise, Bluetooth connectivity? Forget about!! I have had Infinitis for 9 years and now I hate it!!! Am miserable with this car. Sometimes ready to smash it to a wall!!!

  • Excellent Drive - 2003 Infiniti G35

Get the 6 speed manual !!!! The drive is fantastic, the pick up from zero is one of the best I have driven for a four door sedan and the front cabin emphasises driving rather than coasting. The interior comfort controls are in easy reach of the driver, however, the cabin feels like it was designed around the driver.

  • 31K & Counting - 2007 Infiniti G35

This is one fun car to drive! Purchased 3/07 and were now up to 31K miles. Sport tires lasted til 27.5K. Could have been better but they are sticky suckers. I buy cars looking at engine performance 1st and value for the buck 2nd. I dont think I could have done better. This engine has the power to make me smile ear to ear everyday. I love blowing by other cars and looking in the mirror. Only guy that had the engine to stay with me was in an Audi S4. Handling is great. Interior is excellent. Nav useful. Sound system makes my guts thump. The kids and the wife like it too but have to be good when theyre in the car.
