Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

HORRIBLE CAR EXPERIENCE! - 2014 Infiniti QX60
By Alain Bin Naim - November 27 - 1:38 pmLike in the Matrix movie quote "When you see an Infiniti QX60 RUN Neo Run" Since i bought this SUV its been at the dealer for repairs almost every 2 months. 1) Headlamp got water inside and had to replace 2)Noise on headliner and had to replace entire headliner almost 10 days without car. 3)Back again for window motor not closing window. 4)Back again for Transmission issues with 22k miles only and had to wait one month to be replaced, meaning car was a dealer for 35 days and me without car. 5)On top of that back again for other headlamp water replacement. 6)Again on dealer for rear passenger seat noise and they had to replace it. Seriously? 2104 and all these pain in the neck repairs? whats next, Im sure something else was fixed that I dont recall, so I decided to sue Nissan, yep I want a new car or my money back.My lawyers are asking for that but Nissan offered just $500 compensation. Are you serious Nissan? So still in pending responses from Nissan before I submit lawsuit. Im really scare now waiting when this car will brake in pieces on the highway. Really disappointed with this purchase! No recommended to anyone my experience.

Impressive - 2006 Infiniti M45
By socal32 - November 25 - 3:30 pmThis car blew me away, the interior, the technology, the power, the whole layout in my view blows away the Lexus GS430 & the BMW 5 series. Very impressed, and very happy with this purchase. Infiniti continues to impress me more & more.

untitled - 2003 Infiniti G35
By bluesaab - November 24 - 10:00 amMost enjoyable car I have driven. Great handling, excellent braking and plenty of power when you need it. The car instills a sense of security when driving. A bit bland in exterior styling (I tend to prefer styles that are a bit quirkier) but does possess an understated combination of sportiness and elegance.

Minor Improvements Necessary - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Flemwad - November 24 - 10:00 amOk, this vehicle has great performance, looks great, and handles like a dream. It has good safety features. It is wonderful competition for the BMW 3 series for thousands left. However, there are a few improvements necessary.

I love my G - 2003 Infiniti G35
By PRAYZUR - November 24 - 10:00 amAs an owner of an Infiniti J30, I can say without question my 1993 J30 is a far better car than most newer cars. While searching for a new car I was dissapointed to discover my 10 year old J30 road better, had the same or more horsepower than the Saab 93, Lexus 300i, the BMW 330 & Audi A4. The only car in the compact luxury class that compared to my 1993 J30 was my new 2003 G35. The only cars that compared in stylling, driveability and performance were the Mercedes AMG C class & the Audi S4. The problem is both cars cost $20,000 more than my G35. So if you want a great ride, plenty of power at an affordable price, get a G.

Eye Catcher - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Murphy - November 24 - 8:56 amI have owned this car for approximately 7 months and it is the best purchast I have ever made. It will pass anything but a gas station...but as my father has always said if you can afford the car you can afford the gas. You get many looks when driving this car so dont be penny foolish and flip for the chrome wheels and spoiler it makes a huge difference...It is not that quick off the start but once you get it going jumping from 70 to 100 in 5th is exhilarating just pick your moments the tickets add up...what else well it is an extremely smooth ride compared to its sister car the Z350 and it does have a back seat that is a plus and the trunk is good size for a sports car...

KEEP AWAY! BAD BRAKES! - 2004 Infiniti G35
By fed up - November 23 - 5:13 amTrust me. This car is a nightmare with the brakes. If you dont believe me, research all of the comments online. We have had the car for 5 years, and have replaced the brakes 5 times! EVERY YEAR!! The car only has 52,000 miles on it. Every time you have to replace the brakes/rotors it is $500. I want to get rid of this lemon!!!!

Drive it!!! - 2006 Infiniti G35
By Murphy - November 20 - 3:46 pmThe G35 has a much smoother ride then the Z but is not as quick off the line. The car handles beautifully and is allot of fun to drive. The lines on the car are awesome and the car definitely gets the attention of people. I am very happy with the purchase and look forward to many miles with this car.
