Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

  • See Ya!! - 2005 Infiniti G35

With out a doubt the sexiest coupe for the money. Great off the line, it is a pleasure see everyone in your rearview mirror. Suprisingly, the rear seats are roomy. I have 2 girls (9 & 13) and they fit just fine. It doubles as a famly car, but its all sportcar. It is tight on the curves. You feel like one with the road. The power is not wasted with spin outs. The tires bite and you fly. Im going back to the dealer for a second one. "A must have, enjoy!!"

Grew up in a dealership and I cant remember all the cars I have had in my life including a Vette. The G outshines them all.

  • QX56: Best Luxury SUV in the World - 2008 Infiniti QX56

I just purchased my 08 QX and am completely in love w/it. I am a definite car enthusiast and there is simply no SUV that provides a better overall package of luxury and amenities in the world. It delivers powerful performance, its very smooth and quiet on the road, the list of features is astounding, and it looks gorgeous. I test drove an Escalade. There is no comparison. The QX56 is smoother, quieter, has a lot more features, and actually provides better performance and quicker response than the Escalade.

  • Great First Car - 2008 Infiniti G35

I am 16 years old and I received this as my first car. I got the black on black with navigation and all those nice amenities. This is for sure an amazing car. I only have around 2,500 miles on it. Its a quick and cool car. I have one of the nicest cars and campus and its definitely a head turner for other teenagers. In the 4 months I have had it, it has been good to me, besides a few unfortunate scratches. Not a single dent when I got hit in the parking lot. Quality.

  • The Best - 1998 Infiniti Q45

I had never even been in one, but I am thrilled with my car. Needed something after having a wreck in my Subaru Forrester that we bought new. This car is just about the most comfortable and fun car I have ever driven. I told my husband I feel like a queen. It may be used, but it was immaculate when we bought it, and it is fabulous. We had it evaluated by a mechanic, and he was highly impressed with the condition. If you need a used car and get a chance, buy one!

  • Incredible performer - 2003 Infiniti G35

I just picked a 2003 red 6MT from NY on a lease trade. It was pure pleasure driving it 2900 miles across the country to CA. Along the way I met a couple of cars that wanted to race. A late model 911 Carrera that after 20 miles along I-70 approach Vail couldnt lose this car. Saw a BMW 330i in Utah. I have the cruise control on at 90 mph on a long stretch of highway miles from anywhere. This 330i wants to go so I let him pass at about around 100-105 mph before I get on it. Around 115 mph I pass him and for good measure I run it to 140(and it wanted more) just to add insult to injury.

Owner of 2002 Lexus IS300. G35 out performs my Lexus by far. This car get me to points A to B FAST! and comfortably. Car receives compliments from my clients. More car for the buck! $1000 less down and $80 less per month compared to a $26,000 Nissan Maxima on a 38 month lease.
