Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Bought this vehicle new. Not a single problem after 4 years. Continues to draw attention with styling (continual compliments). Comfortable both around town and on long trips. Fits in well with Mercedes at the Belagio, LV.

Ive had this car for 2 weeks now and Im ecstatic over its head-turning styling and jaw-dropping power. This G35 is the very best in this price range and is far superior, in my opinion, to the BMW 3 series and the Lexus I350. And at a much lower price too! Great, solid feel to the entire machine.

I spend a lot of time in the car and after driving a Matrix it was quite an adjustment. Its not as nimble as the Matrix but excels on the highway which was what I needed. Road noise could be less over poor roads but good roads its very quiet. Ill try softer tires next and that may help. The car is really much more of a sports car than a sedan. Cabin is tight but once adjusted it seems normal. I like the simplicity of the interior. Everything else I looked at was very busy inside with buttons everywhere. I dont need a decoder manual to operate the climate controls. The ride is smooth and at 5 pm when I have four more hours of driving to go before I get home, its worth the money.

  • Best Sport Sedan out there! - 2003 Infiniti G35

I have a BMW 330i which I drive daily. The G35 will be for my wife. The G35 has more power at the entire rpm range. The non-sport pkg. G35 handles just as well as my 330i even with the skinnier tires. The ride is actually smoother and the steering feel is less overboosted than my 2000 BMW. Interior ergonomic is first rate. Material used is not as plush as the Audi but easier just as nice as my 330. The BOSE sound system is surprisingly good. Overall, the G35 feels a lot more spacious than my 330i. All this for right around 30k is just too good to pass up. I ordered a Garnet Fire (wifes choice) one to be picked up in two weeks.

  • Most fun sedan I have ever owned - 2007 Infiniti M45

Overall, this is a great sedan. The mileage is rated at 17 city and 23 highway and I have been averaging about 19 combined. I live in Minnesota and we had our first major snowfall yesterday. With rear wheel drive and the all season tires it did not perform well so I am having some snow tires put on. That should make a huge difference.

This is an amazing car for the money compared to the competition. Except for a few nitpicks, its a very nice driving car. I commute 100 miles per day and comfort is first rate. Many compliments on its style and appealing lines. Overall a very enjoyable car that makes the daily commute more like playtime.

Just purchased certified pre-owned with 23,000. It feels like a brand new car! I love everything about it. Drive 400- 600 miles every 6-8 weeeks and so far it has been a dream. The fastest car I have ever owned and nicest ride. Also love the way you are treated by infiniti. Anything I need they are quick to please. Dont ever see myself owning anything other than an infiniti ever again!
