Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Nice Package - 2003 Infiniti Q45
By freshalloyfan - August 28 - 2:00 amGreat acceleration and very smooth power train. Quiet cabin except for an occasional growl of the engine when you first tap the accelerator. Technology and particularly voice recognition is outstanding, a nice safety idea.

Drives Like a Sedan - 2003 Infiniti QX4
By arash_nightswimming - August 28 - 2:00 amIf you are in the market for a rugged SUV that has all the comforts of a luxury sedan the QX4 is it. Test drove the Mercedes SUV, Acura and Lexis and none compared to both the rugged capabilities in conjunction with luxury of the Infiniti.

Great SUV - 2001 Infiniti QX4
By kekai - August 28 - 2:00 amThis SUV has it all. Ive owned a Jeep Grand Cherokees (pkease avoid this car), Chevy Blazer and a Ford Explorer and the QX4 blows them away. After dealing with the big threes horrible build quality, service and reliability I made the switch and am glad I did. The QX$ has excellent quality and performance.

Best Bang for your Buck - 2007 Infiniti G35
By hippo - August 27 - 7:00 pmAll i can say that this car is great. Because of it I will be leasing another G37 but a coupe. I had the fully loaded g35x sedan and all i can say that it beats out any European luxury car hands down. Its much less expensive and it has everything they do. Great car!

Pride of Ownership - 2003 Infiniti G35
By JiminFresno - August 23 - 10:00 amPicked up a G-35 Coupe with the Premium Package. The car is fun to drive. The Japanese designed a car with an Italian sounding exhaust. I think the interior cabin is great. The interior finish is very nice compared to what I expected after I read the reviews. The back seat is ususable in a pinch for adults as long as you limit it to short trips. For me there was no contest between choosing this car and the 350Z. With Infiniti you get 4 year 60,000 mile warranty. You will feel the bumps in the road, but a sports car is designed that way. The car is eveything I expected.

By Mirusen - August 20 - 10:53 amTruly fun to drive, excellent handling and best value for the money in its class. Intelligent key is awesome, no need to take the key out. I always find reasons to take the car out. It has been 4 months after I bought this car. No regrets or no complaints so far.

From 2013 G37x To 2017 Q50 - 2017 Infiniti Q50
By James T - August 18 - 8:52 amI have owned a few Infiniti cars and never really had any trouble with them. I was not looking to upgrade at the time, when I drove the Q50 and Q60 at the Drive at the Autobahn Country Club club in Joliet, ILL after that I was looking to buy. I love the way it handles and performance is good. Lots of upgrades in 4 years. Keep up the great work I saw the review of the tall guy up here he must be well over 6 feet tall. I am 5,9 and if i put the seat back and down I cant reach any of the pedals or steering wheel. you will have to drive one for yourself to see if it is a fit for you. But for me it is a great car.

The Best! - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Frank - August 18 - 3:06 amI test drove the BMW325 and the Audi A4 1.8 both good cars, but after driving the G35 there was no comparison. The G35 V6, 280 HP loaded with features has an unbeatable price, performance and best of all ACCELERATION, just step on that pedal and youll understand whats under the hood. Great car to drive!
