Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Best value for your money - 2005 Infiniti G35
By gadabout - February 4 - 2:03 amAfter driving a G35, RX8 and a 3 series, i found that the value for my money was the G35 coupe 6mt. The design surpasses the others, the performance upstages the beemer and rx8, and the handling is the perfect compromise between sport and luxury. Also, the dealership experience far exceeds that of other dealers that i visited.

This thing is serious fun. - 2009 Infiniti G37
By David - February 1 - 3:00 pmI was shopping around for a new car and did extensive research on sedans in the same class. Lexus IS, Audi A4, Acura TL, Benz C Class, etc. After test driving the Infiniti, I was sold. This car has got the most powerful standard engine in its class and it makes it such an amazing machine to drive. 0-60 in a little over 5 seconds. Gotta love it! At the same time, the brakes make stopping feel effortless so that youre confident driving such a strong car. Lastly, the interior is beautiful and classy. I have no regrets in buying this car and Id recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent four-door sports car.

By sar - January 27 - 10:00 amSecond infiniti owned, and second loved. Great cars all-around, and what a bargain. Why pay $10,000+ for a comp. equiped BMW or Merc? This car is beautiful. Had a jag owner dying over the specs and price.

Its a great car to drive! - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Melanie Goldberg - January 27 - 10:00 amThe Infiniti G-35 is a great car to drive. I do alot of driving on a daily basis, and wanted something with some pickup for entering freeways. This car does not disappoint! I am still learning to use the manual shift, but the automatic has more than enough power. I have only had to change the oil and rotate the tires on this car. I just hit 20,000 miles. It handles grat on the road and is quiet, and has a smooth ride. I was looking at the Lexus and BMW and this war was far more appealing. The Bose stereo system is awesome!

BMW Killer - 2003 Infiniti G35
By sonyds - January 27 - 10:00 amI have both the g35 coupe and the 350z and i stand strongly behind the vq engine. If you want to have fun while driving, you need torque, something bmw and acura dont give you and something Benz gives you but at a high price. Test drive the car before deciding.

Super sweet car - 2008 Infiniti G37
By Mr spock - January 27 - 8:53 amThis 2008 is so much better than the previous model. After 3 weeks I have to say this car with all options is almost everything I was hoping for. IÂ’ve been driving Mustang GTs for many years so this car is so much more refined and luxurious. The sound system and nav are excellent. High speed (100MPH) on the highway is very well controlled and surprisingly quiet in both road and wind noise. The power band on this engine does not come alive until you get above 3000 RPM. IÂ’m used to lots of V8 torque, and this otherwise excellent engine just does not have that torque. But rev it up beyond 4000 and it will pin you back nicely.

Under Priced Luxury Car - 2013 Infiniti JX
By obie1974 - January 24 - 8:27 amI dont get excited about cars these days but have really enjoyed the JX more than any other car Ive owned or driven. My wife and I were considering purchasing a new luxury car next year and after research, narrowed down to the new M Class and the X5. We never considered Infiniti until we saw a teaser ad. After thourough research, I was at the Infiniti dealership the day it arrived. This car had more features and plenty of room for passengers than anything weve looked at. It has more than enough power. It has the best CVT weve driven. All the technology works great. The car practically drives itself. Great family our touring car. Test drive the car yourself rather than relying on reviews.

Best car for the money - 2007 Infiniti G35
By AQua - January 23 - 8:40 pmYou cant turn down a car that will put out 300+ HP, be as smooth as this one, accelerate like this one does, or look like this one does all under 40k. You just cant go wrong with this car. The gas mileage stinks, but gas mileage on most cars this fast is not very good. I drive this car pretty hard and I get about 18 mpg. If you drive it normally, youll get more. I have about 25k on the car and just about now will need tires and brakes, so Im not sure about past reviewers saying theyve had to do it with so much less mileage. The and exterior and interior styling of this car are exceptional! The Bose System is phenomenal! I would recommend this car to anyone who can afford a sports car!
