Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

A Sleeper of an SUV - 2016 Infiniti QX50
By Lee - January 12 - 4:50 pmConsidered all the competition but came back to the 2016 Infiniti QX50. Wanted a strong V6 not a turbo 4 banger (Long Term Reliability!). Seems many are complaining about gas mileage. With just 2,500 miles I am able to get around 16 MPG in town and a solid 26.5 MPG on the highway. Achieved a high of 28.2 MPG on a recent trip. I am using lighter Mobil 1 5W-20 so this may help slightly in the mileage. Great vehicle and value. My regrets is lack of an auto lift gate on the rear also lack of Apple or Android Auto.

Still happy.... - 2008 Infiniti G35
By tennisgal - January 12 - 2:46 amI have LOVED driving this car for almost 1 full year. I was treated to many snows over the past winter and was very grateful for the AWD handling that this car offered. I continue to watch the competition and offerings and am still happy with my decision. Cant tell you enough how I do not miss the FWD "pull" from the steering in my 2004 TL!

Near Perfection - 2004 Infiniti G35
By tbailey - January 11 - 2:00 amThe car is beautiful! It looks great outside and inside. I prefer cars that dont look like everything else on the road, and theres a lot of that in recent years! The Infiniti stands out. The BMWs and Mercedes have too many look-alikes, and theyve become too common anyway. The quality of the Infiniti product, dealership, and service was the final selling point for me.

Love at first sight! - 2003 Infiniti G35
By lgichev - January 10 - 10:00 amI just bought my new Infiniti G35 and I love it! After test driving Mercedes C class and the Audi A4, I found that there is no comparison to the value received from the G35. Not only is it faster and more reliable, but in my opinion the interior and exterior look more sporty and luxurious as well. Plus you get more standard options then on any of the others, making it a great value.

Top notch vehicle - 2003 Infiniti G35
By j.london - January 10 - 10:00 amThis is a tremendous vehicle. In fact, my wife is taking the car for herself. The G35 is a fun car to drive. Fit and finish are as perfect as I have seen on any car. Great accerlation and braking. Down side is no trip computer and the VDC and dimmer for the lights are in akward position. Any car you look for in 2002/3 this has to be on your list for sports cars. The price is nearly $10k cheaper than a BMW 330i.

Great handling - 2013 Infiniti FX
By alfstinky1 - January 5 - 11:02 amI wanted a sporty suv. Room was not a major concern. I wanted it built well with power and a sporty look. I got just what I wanted. The FX37 AWD drives and handles beautifully. Really nice power when you want it with quick steering response. Its a sports ride so dont think you will get a floating ride. Its a little stiff on the street but on the open road at highway speeds its an enjoyable ride. Storage is good for a couple of people going on a trip but if you have a family look else where. Im 6 1" and the front seats are no problem. The rear seats recline and that makes them comfortable for me but straight up they are a little tight.

You should know what your are getting - 2001 Infiniti G20
By ursogrande - January 4 - 6:20 pmI think the drivers seat is one of the most comfortable I have sat in. Infiniti paid a lot of attention to details despite it not being a luxury car. Look, it is a 4-cylinder, so you arent going to get the V-6 effort, but you do get good gas mileage, and the engine isnt that bad. What you are getting is a practical car that has some very nice features that practical cars dont always pay attention to. It is only 150 lbs lighter than my 1999 Camry and it is a smaller vehicle...I like the extra "weight" feeling. Love the car, and hope it works for several more years. I really like the side and behind profile, but the front seems rather ordinary.
