Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

G37S - 2008 Infiniti G37
By FAS - February 11 - 6:23 amWent with Journey with Prem. and Sport Options. Coming from Lexus and looking for more of a sports car and this car fits the bill with power and looks. I do not expect to have any problems with a foreign make like Infiniti similar to Lexus, which was important. I wanted more time on the roads and less in the shop. First thing to do is change out standard air filters with 2 K&N Air Filters!

G37x, a well rounded sport sedan. - 2009 Infiniti G37
By Bluesmaster - February 8 - 3:33 amComfortable drivers seat, plenty of room in front, great features. Rear seats are a bit tight but the rear headroom is fine. Handles, steers, stops and accelerates extremely well and is very fun to drive. The controls for bluetooth, nav, climate and audio features are intuitive and easy to use. The backup camera is fantastic. Gas mileage is not great, but its a heavy car with 328 hp so thats to be expected. Very solid construction and well executed interior.

I Love This Car! - 2002 Infiniti I35
By Murray - February 5 - 6:26 amWhen I bought it it was 3 yrs old with 22,000 miles on it and in excellent shape. I bought Infinitis Elite Protection Plan with zero deductible to cover the car when the basic warranty ran out in Nov. 05 and have been thoroughly pleased. Every issue that has come up has been covered under warranty at no additional cost to me and the dealership service experience has been top notch. The only reason I rated it a 9 for comfort is that I have the Sport Package which has a slightly stiffer ride than the non-sport version. But it is a blast to drive and very comfortable to ride in. The cabin is roomy and rear seat passengers are treated in luxury with heated rear seats and a power rear sunshade.

The G35 Hits the Mark! - 2003 Infiniti G35
By birdieman - February 3 - 2:00 amGood service and everythings works just fine. Great fun the drive. Performance driving lessons would be helpful because all the power and performance can get away from you if your not careful. The brakes are assume. Stop on a dime. Be careful not to get hit in the rear. Others only wish they could stop this fast!

Fun to drive upscale sedan - 2011 Infiniti G Sedan
By joelamp - February 2 - 1:20 amSufficient, though not massive, power from the 218 hp engine. Accelerates briskly, especially in DS or manual mode, but not a land rocket like the G37. EPA rates it only a mile or two per gallon better in fuel economy, but in real life driving I am getting around 24 mpg in the suburbs, while my friends with G37s get around 16-17 mpg. So we are talking around a 7-8 mpg improvement over the G37, which is like a 40-50% improvement. Handles and corners beautifully and is the first car I have owned that is actually fun to drive. Interior and exterior are classy and well designed. Base stereo is fine, dont understand unavailability of Bose upgrade and Navi system. Seats are very comfortable.

08 G35x - 2008 Infiniti G35
By smitty1515 - February 1 - 3:30 pmI am writing this review after ~6 months of driving. I love the car and did a bunch of shopping prior to my purchase. I live in MN so an AWD or FWD vehicle was a must. I test drove the following vehicles prior to my choice of the g35x. Honda Accord Coupe, Nissan Maxima, Lexus IS250 awd, Lexus ES350, and Nissan Altima. The G35 was a combination of all the vehicles and really offers the power and luxury which could not be surpassed by any of the aforementioned vehicles. I drive in Minneapolis rush hour daily and the snow mode comes in quite handy when the weather takes a turn for the worst. I constantly try to lose control in this vehicle on secluded country roads and its almost impossible.
