Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Outstanding value. You wont find a better match of luxury and performance in this price range. Throw in the Infiniti Total Ownership Experience, and you have a winner!

Incredibly fun to drive, outstanding engine and transmission. Short turning radius makes it agile and quick in town.

  • Gem of a Car! - 2002 Infiniti G20

Why get a Civic, Lancer, or Corolla when you can get a G20? With the G20, you get much more for your dollar - power windows, power mirrors, leather interior, moonroof, etc. People will argue that the G20 has a low resale value compared to the other models. Who cares? If you want to get an affordable used car that you intend to use for many years to come, resale value does not matter. All you should care about is reliability and in that area, the G20 is a real keeper. Im not being biased, but I read so many great things about the G20s SR20DE engine. I dare say that the SR20DE is tougher than the competitors engines. And since the G20 is built in Japan, no need to worry about quality.

  • Best car Ive owned - 2004 Infiniti I35

Classic styling, lots of amenities for a reasonable price, understated elegance with no gimmicks, quiet, plenty of room, very dependable, and a car I plan to keep for several years. The M-45 is too expensive as a replacement for the I-35....and over $6000 less than the Lexus ES-330 with the same equipment!

  • Not just another ride - 2004 Infiniti G35

The design of the G35, inside and out, is spectacular and best in Red. This car is a joy to drive, so responsive, and unlike the Z, its comfortable with all the creature comforts a girl could want. Its great looking and fun to drive.

  • GREAT CAR FOR THE MONEY!!! - 2004 Infiniti G35

IT HAS BEEN BETTER THAN EXSPECTED IN ALL CATAGORIES.

  • 2006 G35 6MT - 2006 Infiniti G35
    By -

Great transmission, very fast, good low end torque, excellent handling & brakes. Standard stereo is great. Decent fuel economy when driven conservatively. Lots of power when needed. Awesome exhaust note. Drove the Mazdaspeed 6 and Legacy Spec B - no comparison for overall driving experience. Dealership was kind of snobbish but worth it to get the car. Could not spin the 235 18s in the rain with "nanny" turned off because of limited slip rear only on 6MT - just goes! Going to buy 17" rims & snows when winter comes - small price to pay for rearwheel drive handling.

  • Exceptional Value! Best Used Car To Buy! - 2004 Infiniti I35

I had recently come into a decent job and I was looking for a car to replace my 93 Pontiac Grand Prix. I found a Black 2004 w/ 101,000 I35 for 6300$. I fell in love with the car immediately, the first driving experience I had with a real car. It handles very well, drove on ice the couple times I drove, and was just shocked at how well Infiniti does with building their cars. Everyone gets to drive these cars up to 150,000 miles+. I had every intention of doing this. Unfortunately I was stopped at a red light and a kid on his phone hit me going 50 mph. Again, the car did very well and all I got was a sore couple of weeks. I would encourage anyone looking for a used car research and purchase.

  • I LOVE this car! - 2006 Infiniti G35

I have the Infiniti G 35x, the Intelligent All Wheel Drive model, in pearl white. Actually, I was debating between the coupe and the AWD, but living in Chicago, winter weather can get bad. I am 110% satisfied with the model and my car. My car performs outstanding in all weather. I get compliments all of the time on my car. I swear, each time I leave the house, school, or grocery store, I smile as soon as I see my car. Each time I drive my car is like a new experience. I would highly recommend this car if you want indoor luxury, great performance, all for a reasonable price! I cannot wait until the 2007 G35 comes out, because I will definitely invest in another Infiniti!
