Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

From Lexus SC 430 to this - 2006 Infiniti G35
By Jessica - August 2 - 7:43 pmI had purchased a Lexus SC 430 in 2002 and I only had to date (8.26.06) 32,000 miles but I was needed more room in a vehicle and leaving in Florida we have alot of rain and the traction wasnt stable enough to go over 80 on the hwy. I get a new car every so often but I loves this convertible, hence I kept it so long. I went car shopping today and drove a Lexus Es 300, Acura TL and others. I was upside down on my car and dealer gave me the best deal. I bought the G 35 Sedan Premium package and I love it! What a sturdy ride and turns great while driving fast. I am so in love with this car, not just for the money, but quality and resilience. This is a definite awesome buy!

awesome vehicle - 2006 Infiniti M45
By MARK - August 2 - 3:00 pmI had a 2004 TL which I really liked. But, last weekend I test drove an M45 for fun and was immediately hooked on this vehicle. I traded in my TL and took over a demo with 8,000 kms on it. This vehicle is a true sports luxury vehicle. The power, handling and technology is out of this world. Even the geartronic is by far superior to my TL. The DVD audio system in my TL was the best I have ever heard until now.

Poor Mans Porche 911 - 2004 Infiniti G35
By Dancing Boy - August 2 - 10:00 amHad a Carrera 911 - too expensive to maintain - Looked at the MBZ but a dealer friend said theyve been cost cutting to compete with BMW so they took away things like good brakes! Drove the G35 with nav, bought it on the spot. Had to pay full whack tho. Only drawbacks: Doors dont auto lock when you drive and no seat memory (a real bummer at the car wash) - The engine is awesome and drives fast. Handles very well at 1/2 a Porsche price. Im happy.

Infiniti G35X - 2005 Infiniti G35
By JOHN H. MILLER - August 1 - 5:06 pmOverall a great value, I was comparing this car to my other option purchase vehicles: BMW 5 series,Cadillac CTX, Mercedes E-class, Audi A6. The number of standard features including, horsepower, trunk space and the options: AWD, sunroof, GPS,leather, after crunching the numbers and a test drive it was not much of a contest

My Baby! - 2004 Infiniti G35
By Michelle - July 30 - 2:26 amI bought this car the year it came out. I rarely do daily driving but I take many road trips. I love this car! Ive driven all across the country by myself and with 4 friends. Every time I get in this car for a road trip the passenger will hear "I love this car." The gas mileage could be better but its much better than an Audi or BMW 4-wheel drive. Honestly, no complaints. I love it. It took me 2 years to choose a car and now I know why. This car didnt exist! And the new version isnt as good... too much luxury, not enough sport.

Better each day - 2003 Infiniti I35
By info@ambassadorreale - July 29 - 2:00 amAfter a trouble free year on the road and 19,000 miles on the odometer, theres no doubt I made a good choice with this car. It is very well equipped, powerful, quiet and comfortable. Dealer service contact, though minimal, has been excellent. The body is tight, no rattles or groans. This is a true value when compared to the competition.

Fantastic Car - 2007 Infiniti G35
By Mike Nor-Cal - July 28 - 11:06 pmG35-S, Wonderful auto, electronics, voice, nav, etc., take a little time to learn. Handles like a dream, stops on a dime with perfect control, superb power, impressive body lines and style. When you start adding on all the bells and whistles, nav, voice control, rear camera, great stereo, all HID lights and tracking headlights, radar cruise control, etc.Bottom line, the G price, style, dependablity is tops

I love My M45 SPORT - 2006 Infiniti M45
By Brian - July 28 - 4:16 pmThis is by far the most amazing car I have owned. I drove the BMW 545 and the Lexus GS430. Feature wise, there is no comparrison. The m45 is the fastest of the group, with the best handling, and technology. The navigation system is amazing, and the sound system is the best I have heard. The motor never quits and gets you to 60 in 5.5 seconds or under....I have been very happy so far, I owned a g35 coupe before this, and really feel that Infiniti makes quality cars that are right up there with BMW and Mercedes.

Best Decision Ever - 2008 Infiniti G35
By crushut07 - July 27 - 5:43 amI went through an exhausting research process to decide on a car. I read every review, and drove more cars than I can count. Eventually, I narrowed it down between the 08 Accord Coupe w/ Nav, Audi A4 3.2 Quattro, BMW 3 Series, and only had the G35 left to drive. After I drove the Infiniti, I realized there was no comparison. The power, handling, and comfort are incomparable, and the price is incredibly reasonable for such an awesome car. I have people compliment my car everywhere I go!
