Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Unbeatable - 2008 Infiniti G37
By Simeen - September 19 - 10:03 pmI traded in a 2003 G35 coupe and considered a 3series BMW, Audi A5, and IS350 along with the new G37. After test driving all of them and pricing them out, this car couldnt be beat. I loved my G35 coupe, and the G37 is even better. It is a real head turner on the road-- Ive been stopped by strangers in parking lots and at stoplights who tell me how great looking my car is. Drive is much smoother than my G35 coupe-- quieter too. A real pleasure to drive. I agree with other posters-- dont buy this car and complain about gas mileage. This is a performance car and having lower gas mileage is a small price to pay for such a luxury car at an affordable price.

Superb vehicle! - 2004 Infiniti I35
By mgator - September 19 - 10:00 amDrives 50+ miles per day to/from work on busy Miami roads and handles like a champ in all conditions. Bose sound system is excellent, interior feels luxurious, traction control system is awesome for front-wheel drive! Drive the Maxima first and youll know why the I35 is a superior car.

Excellent... I love it! - 2003 Infiniti G35
By G35Driver - September 19 - 10:00 amThis has been an amazing, fun sedan to drive. I highly recommend this car. I have had no reliability issues, Infinitis service has been top-notch and the balance between performance and luxury is perfect. This car is also priced great because I feel as Im getting a BMW 330 with the space of a 5-series for much less than the price of both.

Awesome Car! - 2007 Infiniti G35
By Gwen - September 18 - 11:33 amI traded in my 2006 GS35 for the 2007 GS35 and let me tell you that so far it is worth every penny. There are significant differences when comparing the two. First and foremost, the power. The engine is powerful and smooth. You dont hear as bumps in the road as in the 2006. You have to watch the speedometer because getting up to 100 is easy. The interior quality definitely has improved significantly as well. If you want a fun car and reliable car to drive, this is it. Only regret is that I didnt hold off long enough to get this car first.

Having Fun! - 2009 Infiniti G37
By djasondds - September 15 - 5:46 pmThis is my first Infiniti (loyal Lexus owner) and I am happy with my choice! I feel this is the best hard-top convertible for the money. It looks great with the top up or down. Considered and drove a BMW 335 Convertible and a Lexus IS 350 Convertible. Did not like the looks of the Lexus and the BMW was $8000 more WITHOUT a Nav system and other features on the Infiniti. PLUS the dealership was FRIENDLY and took GREAT care of me. Overall, I would highly recommend this to someone looking for the perfect blend of luxury, sportiness and value.

The 05 made the difference for us. - 2005 Infiniti G35
By miata007 - September 13 - 6:03 pmThe 05 sedan has the new look and interior that made us chose this car over the TL despite the G35 cost more. Our car has been very solid and rattle free(700 mi) and everything seems to be well put together like most Lexus that I have been into. This updated G35 should have been out few years ago.

infiniti g35 journey - 2007 Infiniti G35
By newgs - September 13 - 10:46 amThis G has real power and you can feel it on all levels. Gives you that great sound of the engine too without being annoying. Coming off a BMW 330; the G is just as good in terms of performance at a much lower cost. Also gets a lot of attention because of its awesome looks/exterior design. Nice space inside and not tight at all in the back seats, unlike others in the segment.
