Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

I test drove BMW, Lexus and other cars before buying the G35. For handling, feel, options, and pleasure, the G35 came out on top. For the price with all options, the G35 came out on top. A minor trade off is that the gas mileage is not as good as a BMW or a Lexus. For quality of workmanship, warranty and pure pleasure to drive, I do not think that any other car can compete with the G35 for the same price. It is a true sports car disguised as a family car. It does take a while to learn how to operate the technology, but I find that to be a welcome challenge that keeps me from getting bored on long drives. The navigation system is very user friendly and accurate. This is the ultimate car

Great car. As good as my BMW that I traded. Only had it for 3 weeks but I cannot find a single solitary problem. Fast, Great fun to drive, gets looks and waves and beeps. Love it. Kids love the DVD player. We do too. No backseat whining from the little ones.

Best ever auto Ive ever owned, and I have owned many. The blending of performance and luxury at slightly over 30k cant be touched by any other vehicle on the road today.

Purchased my G37 journey with sports pak in late feb. Nice finish and trim. Sexy exterior with great , easy to clean alloy rims. Still breaking it in, so it might be a minute before I open her up. Please keep her under 70 mph until 1500 miles. I was told by a very reliable source. I have had 14 BMWs and love my german cars. But I needed to change up! Infiniti should work on their dismal gas mpg (Im getting 13.4) and tighten up the steering ratio.

WOW!! I absolutely love this car!!! Now I did go from an Explorer to this little speed racer, but man oh man can she go!!! There isnt one thing I have found about this car that I dont like, of course I did only buy it 3 days ago. Still, I was researching this and the 325i, but there really is no comparison, this is a winner hands down!!!

I first test drove the BMW 328XI and was impressed with its driving, handling, and exterior appearance. However, the interior of the vehicle was a disappointment. For a vehicle well over 40 grand the interior should be eye catching as well. Later that day I test drove the 07 Infiniti G35x which to me handled just as well as the BMW. The exterior of the Infiniti is just as impressive as the interior. I purchased it fully loaded for just over 40k. I got it in black with beige leather which I receive compliments all the time. BMW should take a lessons from Infiniti on interior. There is no comparison between the two. The 3.5L V6 (306 hp), blows BMW(230hp) away. BMW is in my rear view mirror.

This is a great car. Ive been an owner for about 2 months and I absolutely love the car. Great acceleration, minimal shift shock and dynamic breaking without the dramatic nose dive. When you start the engine it doesnt sound so luxurious, but levels out after the fluids start mixing. Not a problem, but something that you notice. Not much head room unless you lower the seats and a small trunk thats "about" the same as its competitors. I love the Infiniti InTouch system and the ability to utilize your cell phone for many out of car features. Theres power in the pedal. You may want to be a little easy when you use the Sport Mode as it will give you what you asked for. Comes with Run Flat tires and no spare just so you know. Still a great car.

Excellent alternative to the 528 I owned. This car is quicker, handles as well, and unlike the BMW, reliable. Not as smooth as my wifes G300 Lexus, it will perform rings around it.

Great Car! Traded in my 04 Tahoe for this car. This is my 3rd sports car. Not as fast as my corvette, but its creature comforts are head and shoulders above the vette. A real head turner. The brakes are touchy, but you get used to them. Mine has the handling package. A little rough....its expected. Better gas mileage than my tahoe.
