Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

A nice blend or power (260hp), sport sedan, and comfort. A good buy for G35 with willow cloth. But not so nice when equipped the way you want it. (33-35K)

Bought a blk exterior, stone interior with sports package. This car looks nicer on the outside than Lexus and BMW. I am 6 ft 2 inches and plenty of room in the driver / front passenger. Right after purchase drove from Los Angeles to AZ and it performed / felt / looked great. This is my 5th new car off a lot and this is the best.

Ive driving my new Infinite for about a month now, m really surprized by the powerful engine, exceleration is swift like a bullet, braking is amazing. This car has great looks from inside and out. Exhaust noise is fun to listen to when excelerating. Its very tempting to drive this car really fast, feels very smooth and comfortable at high speeds, feels like 50s when driving at 80. This car has a lot of room in the second row. Bose stereo perfomrs less than expected but its OK. Had the chance to drive my G 35X in snow, 4-wheel drive system was great, no slip, no skid, very manouvreable in snow. Its thousands cheeper than BMW 3 series with much more features for much less money, great buy.

  • Fun Car - 2004 Infiniti G35

I absolutely love this car. Originally I wanted a 350z because I wanted to stay within the "z" family so, I test drove a couple 350s to see how I liked them. I was kinda iffy about the styling of the new "z" but then I found out about the G35 coupe and fell instantly in love with it. I had absolutely no doubts about it whatsoever. It is basically a luxury version of the 350z and has a ton of "creature features" in it. From the Bose stereo to the Nav system to the Heated leather seats this car is awesome. Plus its got performance that you wouldnt expect from a luxury car of this caliber.

  • Finally....Im Having Fun Driving - 2004 Infiniti G35

This car Rocks!!! Ive driven BMWs and Mercedes, and I now get to enjoy driving my car. Lots of power and extremely quick - Very impressive for a car that price. Its very comfortable for a sport coupe and its lines are not unlike those of very expensive Italian sports cars. I opted not to go with the rear spoiler as I felt it takes away from the cars natural look and even though its automatic the gears dont miss a beat on shifting. Overall, I cant say enough about this car, and I cant stop staring at it just like a lot of other people out there.

  • G35 coupe: fun and comfort - 2004 Infiniti G35

The G35 coupe has the most comfortabble seats of any auto I have had. There is enough room in the back. The trunk is small. Driving is great fun, it handles well and is what the French call "nervous" meaning it loves to move very quickly. It handles beautfully.

  • Great Car, Great Experience - 2002 Infiniti QX4

Great Navigation system with voice and visual guidance. Advanced traction control handles well on snow and ice.

  • Dont Believe the Hype - 2003 Infiniti G35
    By -

The just took a test drive of the New Infiniti G35 and I had a fun time speeding on a straight away, but as I was driving back it began to rain. Once that happened the handling of the car went down the tubes. With all the hype about stopping faster than any German car and high-speed handling this car is the worse in rain. I can only imagine it in the snow. If you live in the desert with straight away roads with no precipation then this is the car for you. Interior is very uncomfortable for any one under 6 feet tall. DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!
