Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

untitled - 2003 Infiniti G35
By bluesaab - November 24 - 10:00 amMost enjoyable car I have driven. Great handling, excellent braking and plenty of power when you need it. The car instills a sense of security when driving. A bit bland in exterior styling (I tend to prefer styles that are a bit quirkier) but does possess an understated combination of sportiness and elegance.

I love my G - 2003 Infiniti G35
By PRAYZUR - November 24 - 10:00 amAs an owner of an Infiniti J30, I can say without question my 1993 J30 is a far better car than most newer cars. While searching for a new car I was dissapointed to discover my 10 year old J30 road better, had the same or more horsepower than the Saab 93, Lexus 300i, the BMW 330 & Audi A4. The only car in the compact luxury class that compared to my 1993 J30 was my new 2003 G35. The only cars that compared in stylling, driveability and performance were the Mercedes AMG C class & the Audi S4. The problem is both cars cost $20,000 more than my G35. So if you want a great ride, plenty of power at an affordable price, get a G.

Eye Catcher - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Murphy - November 24 - 8:56 amI have owned this car for approximately 7 months and it is the best purchast I have ever made. It will pass anything but a gas station...but as my father has always said if you can afford the car you can afford the gas. You get many looks when driving this car so dont be penny foolish and flip for the chrome wheels and spoiler it makes a huge difference...It is not that quick off the start but once you get it going jumping from 70 to 100 in 5th is exhilarating just pick your moments the tickets add up...what else well it is an extremely smooth ride compared to its sister car the Z350 and it does have a back seat that is a plus and the trunk is good size for a sports car...

Drive it!!! - 2006 Infiniti G35
By Murphy - November 20 - 3:46 pmThe G35 has a much smoother ride then the Z but is not as quick off the line. The car handles beautifully and is allot of fun to drive. The lines on the car are awesome and the car definitely gets the attention of people. I am very happy with the purchase and look forward to many miles with this car.

Unsung Hero - 2015 Infiniti Q50
By slcraft - November 20 - 3:09 pmIt really sucks that this car will be overlooked by most due to the ongoing poor reviews for the "Drive by Wire" steering that has been universally panned by enthusiast reviews. It seems every car road tested has all the electronics which, while impressed by them, many reviewers disliked as being too "nanny-like" This is why I did my research and, once I found out I could lease a well equipped Q50 AWD Premium I ran to my dealer to do so. I put no money down and pay $344 a month. Options were Navigation (which includes voice activation, Bose System, Infiniti In Touch and Sirius Radio, the 19inch wheels (must have) leather package, and spare tire. NO drive by wire steering, ever!!!

My G35 Review - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Demeter128 - November 18 - 10:00 amIm very pleased with everything that Inifinti has done to make the Coupe a both fun to drive and reliable car. I have loved Nissan and have owned three Maximas in the past 6 years. Infiniti has gone all out and made their version of the Z a more practical alternative for this sporty Mom.

A real value - 2004 Infiniti G35
By TJJr - November 18 - 10:00 amA great introduction to luxury vehicles; my previous car was a Maxima. In comparison to the other vehicles the G35 is compared to, its a great buy. I have actually had this car since August 2002. It doesnt have the stigma of other more expensive cars, so I can drive it without the petty jealously of others.

G37x - 2013 Infiniti G Sedan
By mlbm001 - November 17 - 8:33 amI really like the car, but the ride is firm and road noise is noticeable on less than perfect roads. Infiniti will need to up their game on technology features on the next generation Q50.
