Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

I love this car - 2003 Infiniti G35
By newcarowner - December 23 - 10:00 amI just got my new pimpin black G35 and I love it. I have got nothing but "wows" and looks of amazement from people about this car. From the exterior design to the interior design, this car is definitely a show-stopper. It picks up speed so quickly and flys with no wind noise. It is by far the best in its class.

Best thing ever happened to me.... - 2003 Infiniti G35
By RacingManiac - December 23 - 10:00 amAfter driving a Camry for 3 years, its quite a change to move into a G35. First impression while on the road is that people are looking at you! This car is striking, sleek and nicely designed. Plus all that power is really nice on the road. The handling is tidy and the one I have does not have that touchy of a brake pedal like many have reported. Interior is excellent with great layout and nice material. Overall very good car, and very good price too.

G-35 W/Leather and Sport PG - 2003 Infiniti G35
By gorva - December 23 - 10:00 amThis is the most fun car that I have drove in a long time. Looked at BMW 3s. Audi A4 , Jag X-type, and CTS. This is the best of them all, has looks, power, and stick to the road performance. The only this close to this car was the CTS, but G-35 has the best warrenty, best price and best performance.

None Better - 2000 Infiniti QX4
By New England Driver - December 23 - 6:03 amThis is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Bought used at 47K miles and now have 90K. Didnt know warranty went to 70K but never needed. Traded in a 2002 Odyssey for this QX4 and had a volvo wagon before that. No comparison. This truck is great on the highway, safe in the snow and good offroad (think skid plates and real 4wd). The important difference from the Pathfinder is the Nissan Skyline transmission and extras. Real gas milage is consistent 19MPG. Good trailer towing capacity.

By gary funari - December 20 - 5:30 amsporty, easy to handle, seating is perfect for all 4 passengers, great leg room, navagation is easy to operate. this car is reliably unstopable. in a group of other autos, it stands out. the body style is over the top. i have black and all the lines of the car blend with one another and it truly looks like a mean sleek steet machine. gman

Great Car - 2001 Infiniti I30
By DimaSI - December 19 - 10:00 amGreat car all around, i upgraded from a fully loaded Bonneville. This is a japanese car in its best. I am an infinity customer for a while now. I have close to 75,000 miles on my car and its in great shape mechanically. The build quality for this car was my first reason for buying it over a tl or lincoln ls and it has proven to be great.

solid - 2006 Infiniti G35
By mike - December 18 - 6:06 amI traded in a 2004 acura tl (dynamic 6sp.) the ras (rear active steering) system really enhances your driving experience on this car, it begs to be pushed thru the corners. for a coupe i think the seating is ample( not for too long in the back) the sound of the exhaust on this car is sweet, around 4000 rpm it really sounds like its ready to tear up the road. the subtle change to the rear spoiler is what made this car more attractive to me. for the money this is one hell of a car. ive had this car for less than 2 weeks so far. a follow up to this will be neccesary. as then i may be bored with 300 horse.

immaculate - 2003 Infiniti G35
By aka... - December 16 - 10:00 amOne word to describe the car...IMMACULATE. The car is both luxurious and sporty at the same time. Infinity really out did themselves this time. The car handles incredible and the acceleration is impressive. I drove the cadillac CTS, the Acura TL type S, but none come close to the new G35 especially if you are considering price.

A great value compared to the 3 series - 2005 Infiniti G35
By tbski - December 15 - 4:26 amThe G35X is the perfect blend of luxury and performance. I had resigned myself to the 3 series until I discovered the G35. What was lacking in the BMW I found in the Infiniti. When considering price, reliability, size and style the G35X has it all over the 3 series. This car screams and is a blast to drive. I hope the AWD proves to be a worthwhile investment this winter.
