Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Great Car - 2002 Infiniti I35
By tom75 - May 10 - 2:00 amI choose the I35 after considering the Lexus ES300, the Lincoln LS, and the Accura TL. I have not been disappointed. The power is unsurpassed for a four door family sedan. The sound system is also top notch

Awesome! - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Neal M. - May 10 - 2:00 amHaving ordered the car in September - sight unseen - I was a little aprehensive. Boy, was I foolish! The 6sp manual with luxury option package is just plain awesome. Not only does it fly, stick to the road and feel like Im wearing it on my back, it looks and sounds like a car costing tens of thousands more. The rear seats are more than usable - Ive had 57" adults say its "fine back here." My 10 and 7 year old just sit back there and say "SWEET!" I cant even think of a negative - other than the fact that 90 mph feels the same as 60 mph and Im sure theres a trooper in my future! In

For the money you cant beat this car - 2006 Infiniti G35
By Puckfel - May 9 - 5:16 am4k miles, 5 mos. if you need 4 seats, fun and dont have $50k, this is a great car. I have sp pkg, 6 sp M, RAS, 19" wh, nav. couldnt find exactly what I wanted, so I searched, bought 600 miles away and drove home on the blue ridge pkwy. Awesome!!! To me: ride is great, tire noise is HORRENDOUS on cement. I have to get better tires this month. Handling with rear active steering beats out cars over $150k. A pro F driver and I have tracked this 2x and left people in Fs and track people mesmerized, probably at or possibly sub 5.3 secs 0-60. Beats out B 335, and I beat out B pro driver in handling. Imagine what good tires would mean.

Great Car !!! - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Steve - May 5 - 1:50 amI have had Lexus, MB & BMW sports cars in the last 8 years. Forget about price, but this car blows them all away by far. Handling, quickness & styling for under $40K, WHAT A STEAL. I will buy another one when I wear this one out, which I should in about 10 years !!!

A special car I never thought I would own. - 2009 Infiniti G37
By jimstack41 - May 4 - 11:12 amA friend who owns a used car dealership found my 09 G37x S with the 7 speed auto and paddle shifters at a regional auction. Barely 30,000 miles and a one-owner history! Black on black, 4dr. Nav system, Bose stereo, 18" wheels, All the goodies!. I never thought I would be able to afford this. The price was right and I did the mechanical work, four Michelin MXM4 tires and some detail touch ups. The car is perfect. I am out the door and on the road for $28K. Unbelievable! At my age this is the perfect car. A great combination of performance and luxury. It also is incredibly good looking.

Replaced my Bimmers - 2003 Infiniti G35
By GTF - May 4 - 10:00 amLast cars have been 325i, M3, and 328Ci. The competition is catching up at lower prices. The G35 seems to handle as well, is faster, quieter at speed. Still not the reputation of BMW, and probably not the resale, but expect better reliability. Its the closest that I have found at $9000 savings ($32.2 w/$34.1 msrp, vs.$41 for the new 330Ci).

its big but practical - 2006 Infiniti QX56
By maybeso - May 3 - 7:23 pmGreat truck; practical interior with the folding rear bench and middle chairs; drives nice--firm suspension and no-slop steering; engine is STRONG; dash design a little quirky but the quality is much better than the domestic competition.

Thank you Infiniti for building this car FOR ME - 2013 Infiniti G Coupe
By gvyt - May 1 - 11:58 amHaving spent the past 14 years with an ultimate driving machine and after seeing the professional reviews, I initially didnt have high expectations for the IPL coupe. I was pleasantly surprised. This is one of the few beautiful coupes that are still made. Its a well build and layed out car. When driven mildly, its a well composed tourer. When driven agressively, it provides a high level of confidence for the causal driver. At its heart is a long time award winning engine matched to a capable transmission. If youre tire of performance vehicles that are great track machines, but harsh daily drivers, you owe it to yourself to take a test drive.
