Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Stacies Review - 2005 Infiniti G35
By stacie - August 16 - 5:30 pmThe car is beautiful and fun to drive. Receive lots of looks. It is fast. The downside: Lots of road noise. Always losing small items beside the seat and the console - almost impossible to retrieve items due to design. Tires only last about 18K miles - something I wish I had known prior to purchase.

By d.woods - August 15 - 9:43 amHaving driven this in all kinds of weather i find it gives a very safe feel in all aspects except for the fuel mileage which is not what you are led to believe at time of purchase

my 2 cents - 2004 Infiniti G35
By micheal anderson - August 15 - 2:00 amOwnership satisfaction is less then what I expected. At full stop the car vibrates. The steering wheel vibrates at any speed. Mediocre stereo system and poorly designed temperature control. The heated seat is just a joke. Only half of it is heated and your butt is warm but your thighs are cold. No standard rear view mirror dimming control. I got 12 to 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway consistently. I got the car thinking the AWD feature will add safety and performance for the New England winter but it does so with many sacrifications, especially the gas mileage is unexceptable.

I once loved it, but its a terrible car - 2004 Infiniti G35
By Chris - August 8 - 4:30 amLet me start by saying I love the look, feel and performance of this car. But thats where it ends. I have had problem after problem after problem with this car. Heres the list - power locks, speakers, CD changer, navigation system, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls, brakes, brake calipers...and thats just what was replaced! They cant figure out why I get noise from my moonroof and water on the floor when it rains hard or the ticking from my dash when I step on the brakes on a hot day. As much as I love to drive this car...I cant wait to get rid of it. I have owned three Chevys, a Pontiac and a Mazda before this. All of them COMBINED did not have this many problems! Hopefully its a more reliable car now that its six model years later. After all of the problems Ive had with the car as well as dealing with Infiniti themselves, I will NEVER purchase another Infiniti or Nissan product.

Beautiful Gas Hog - 2004 Infiniti G35
By Sergio Lopez - August 3 - 12:53 amBought my G35 with 25000 miles on it fell in love with its styling. Took a test drive at the dealer and noticed a problem with the rotors, big time noise as the car move forward, the faster it went, the louder it got. Told the sales guy to replace the rotors and they did. I then decided to put 20 inch rims on it - WOW! It looks incredible. People just stop and stare 3000 miles later my rotors went south on me. Another thing is the gas mileage is horrible. If youre a lead foot then I hope you have deep pockets. Remember it only takes 93 octanr and at $4.10 a gallon OUCH!

Fru Fru 4 Wheeler - 1997 Infiniti QX4
By LoveXQ - August 1 - 2:00 amThe QX4 is definitely in the category of luxury 4x4s. Lots of cushion and comfortable seats with plenty of room for long drives. Compared to its sibling the Pathfinder, the Q offers a much smoother ride, much more cushion and its weight makes you "feel" more protected when traveling on the highway. Handling = adequate. Power = severely lacking...we feel like the flinstones peddling up the hills. Great car for those who drive mostly around town, with occasional off-road adventures. If you want a lot of power and plan to tow heavy loads the 97Q is not for you. We love taking it on trips but hate paying the gas bill.

Warning! Watch out fot the seats. - 2002 Infiniti I35
By mirekm - August 1 - 2:00 amThe front seats look good, but not ergonomically correct. There is not enough support in the lower thigh, and there is no adjustment to extend the length of the seat. Even with the lumbar support, there is not enough support in the lower back, which result in back pain, discomfort and frustration. My commute to work is only about half an hour, but after a few minutes of driving I canÂ’t wait to get out of this car because of discomfort.

my infiniti 135 - 2002 Infiniti I35
By mishezee - July 29 - 12:06 pmI love this car, its the first car Ive owned for quite some time. I find it to be very responsive, especially on the brakes. The car handles very well and picks up speed within a few seconds.

Youre trying to convince yourself. - 2003 Infiniti G35
By justintj - July 27 - 2:00 amI bought this car as my "fun to drive" after owning several BMW 3 series. It is a very good and sporty car, but I got rid of it after two months. The ride quality, power, suspension, and transmission is adequate. However, it does not compare to the BMW name. I now have a 2002 Z-3 that I am in love with. I always thought they were too small, but its a perfect fit even at 6 feet.
