Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Luxury bang-for-your-buck - 2004 Infiniti I35
By GeorgiaBlue - May 29 - 2:00 amI originally bought this car for my wife, but am now coveting some of the features of her much newer near-luxury car! This car affords a quiet, comfortable ride with enough amenities to keep all but the true technophiles happy (this, despite the fact we opted for a model without navigation). The interior is spacious and well thought out. The exterior is not necessarily eye-catching, but handsome. Power is ample, but this is a boulevard cruiser, so dont expect to fly around corners (thats what the MR2 is for).

The Q45 is a Winner - 2002 Infiniti Q45
By Mal Vineberg - May 28 - 10:00 amThis is my third Q45 and by far the best all around. Infiniti makes wonderful cars but the 97-2001 Q45 was lacking in style, the 2002 makes up for everyhting. The voice system, the navigation system, backup camera, the smart cruise control, the comfort and power, the sound system, the headlights, the interior features and all the features make it a wonderful car to drive and look at.

Best car I have ever owned! - 2007 Infiniti G35
By car46guy - May 27 - 2:10 pmI have only owned this car for a few days. I came across a used, 2007, with 35k miles. All I can say is this is the best car I have ever owned...Great looks, insanely fast, built like a tank and handles like a race car. Driving at night I feel like Im flying a plane - the interior lighting is great. This car is rock solid and feels like its on rails. Im still getting used to all of the techno gear and will report back.

Love the Car - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Irvine - May 25 - 7:43 amAfter 6 months of investigating coupes in the 30,000-40,000 range I decided on the G35. From the first moment I drove away from the dealer I know I had made the right choice. I love this car. It is a blast to drive. The sports suspension and 19 inch wheels make the handling a dream as it hugs the road on curves. The 280 horses under the hood are plenty allowing the car to accelerate to 60 in less than 6 seconds. Its ability to accelerate from 50 to passing speed is even more impressive. It is also much better looking than BMW 3 series. Gas mileage is only around 15 in town but I did not buy the car for gas economy. Great car especially for the price!!

Great Coupe - 2008 Infiniti G37
By Javier - May 24 - 3:50 pmI love this car! It reacts immediately when you hit the gas. The shifting is smooth. The interior looks great. All the accessories make it perfect. It corners really well at high speeds. It looks great. Before I bought the 6 speed manual, I test drove the automatic. The automatic was a complete letdown for me. The shifting was not smooth at all and the acceleration was not there. Its night and day between manual and automatic. I cant say enough about the G37. Its simply awesome.

I love it! - 2004 Infiniti I35
By GRdriver - May 24 - 10:00 amI have had it for two weeks now and look for excuses to go for a ride and take it out on the road. It has a lot of power and I usually win the race across the intersection. It is comfortable on all types of roads. I considered the new Maxima and Altima but I liked the way the I35 handled and the way it felt when I drove it. I love the whole car.

Flawless Fun! - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Nate Denman - May 24 - 10:00 amI have taken this car up and down the east coast, across the country, and up and down nearly every tight turning road in California. This car has been exhilirating to say the least. It is a blast to drive and I constantly have people taking a "double take" of my car and complimenting the vehicle. I have 28000 miles on this vehicle thus far and I have had no problems. The dealerships in both Virginia and California have treated me like royalty. Customer service at these dealerships has been stupendous. I have no complaints whatsoever!

Performance + Reliable - 2006 Infiniti G35
By BlownVQ - May 24 - 12:40 amVery Reliable, never had to use the warranty. You will eventually get used to the stock 298hp. Add a turbo or Supercharger and these cars are the best bang for the buck reliable luxury sports car available for under 30k! Getting in and out of the back seat is not really intended for adults, but thats not why your reading this review is it? My Vortech supercharged G35 gets 18mpg city 23mpg highway, really good for 400+hp and its just about stock mpg! (Depends on how you drive)
