Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

For the price the luxury features on the SUV are best bang for the buck. Acura/RX300 do not match upto the price and features.

  • The Germans will NOT be pleased! - 2003 Infiniti G35

My G35 just gets better and better. I was considering purchasing a 2003 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro, BMW 330i, Lexus IS 300 and the G35. After walking to each and every dealership, sitting inside vehicles and test driving, by the time I arrived at Infiniti, the choice was clear. The G35 is the hands down winner in the Sport Sedan market. Every aspect is exceptional: its sleek interior, sporty exterior, Skyline handling, braking and acceleration numbers, and rock bottom price. This is a deadly combination. I have let friends (Audi/BMW owners) drive the car, and they all get a grin on their face. This is a performance car wrapped with 4 doors and leather.

  • This car is very smooth - 2008 Infiniti G35

From the first time I saw this car at the dealership, it caught my eye. This sedan is well built and provides a classy but yet sporty look while delivering performance with a modern interior. The performance is awesome and so much fun to drive but what makes this car is the interior in my mind. Its not as luxury as the Lexus but its 10K less too. It makes the BMW interior look childish. I would definitely suggest going with the Navigation and Premium Package. If you want a smoother/softer ride, dont get the sport package. But the sport package is nice and delivers in a great way. I guess its all about what you want. All I can say is, go test drive one. Infiniti is here and with a great car.

  • Well priced luxury - 2005 Infiniti G35

This vehicle is the best on the market when considering the entire package of all inckuded features. It is a saving to able to get a well built car at no extra cost for the 280 hp, the leather seats, and many other features. The ride is extraordinary on long distance, very comfortable for the front and rear passengers. It is overall a nice practical luxury car at an affordable price. Tgis is the best of the three Infinitis that I have owned.

Two days ago picked it up. Overall very nice truck. Ride is very comfortable and compliant. It can be little jittery on rough roads, but that is expected from any full size truck built on frame. Interior is very quiet. Seats are soft and comfortable. Rear leg room is amazing(like in limo). Overall I think this truck is great value.

  • Surprise! - 2015 Infiniti Q50

I shopped around, not only in this category but others. With the great lease deal I came to my decision on the Q50S AWD AWD. Its been about a month and still no buyers remorse. True its quite a bit different than the MkVI VW GTI, but there are only two things I miss, the hatchback and the manual transmission. I know, completely different category of vehicles but the GTI is what I traded in on the deal. The infotech is still taking some getting used to but I just feel downright spoiled every day I drive it. Oh, and just pressing a button to lock the doors and start the car. That 7500 RPM redline, AWD, comfort, and luxuries. Still cant believe I got a chance to own one. One warning, the tires are run-flats but that doesnt mean that theyre indestructible, got a flat at the 2000 mile mark, $425 to replace!!! When the opportunity arises they will be replaced with regular tires.
