Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

What a car!!! - 2006 Infiniti M45
By Preston Ingalls - August 10 - 9:20 pmI love this car. I traded my 2003 G35 in for it which I loved but this is such an upgrade. The comfort on the road, the awesome Bose sound system, the handling and the speed for passing leaves one breathless. After looking at Beamers and Lexus, why would you buy one of those when you can have this??? I can see why Car and Driver mag selected it as the best in its 8-car class for luxury cars.

What a great buy! - 2008 Infiniti G35
By what a great buy! - August 10 - 6:26 amAfter spending some time looking, my wife and i bought the same G35 Sport (2008). Comfort, handling and technology. All superb. If your into music entertainment systems in your car, you"ll find the "technology" package to be impressive. Not to mention a very quick 306 engine and race car like suspension. I cant wait to get past my 500 break-in miles to see what i really have!

Title - 2003 Infiniti QX4
By TomKKKK - August 8 - 2:00 amThe vehicle is very well built and its looks are impeccable. Why is it necessary to use use premium gasoline when many other SUVs used regular.

Infiniti is under-rated, based on 1999. - 2002 Infiniti Q45
By F Lee - August 8 - 2:00 amAutomobiles have been my life, racing and domestic family as well. The first time I drove the Infiniti Q-45 (new 1996) I was completely, totally impressed, and I remain that way as of this day. It just keeps getting better!

I Researched For A Year . . . - 2003 Infiniti I35
By Spooky - August 8 - 2:00 amI needed a powerful car. A comfortable car. A car to accomodate my 65" frame. And one with all the requisite bells and whistles. The I35 fit the bill in all respects. In the end it was a choice between the new Saab 9-3 and Infiniti (BMW 5 too small; Lexus dowdy/not my personal style; Audi A4 too small; Jaguar X-Type too expensive/bad history). I must admit the Saab was all over the I35 in terms of exterior style AND interior layout-- gotta love the info screen atop the dashboard! Alas, the Saab was lacking in power and had less "niceties", ie. no cassette??? Infinitis overall value was, in the end, impossible to pass up.

Excellent Sports Sedan - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Chris Brua - August 8 - 2:00 amBought G35 sedan after test-driving most in its class. Exterior styling appeals to me except for doggie door on trunk (changed for any car built after 9/2002). Performance exceptional for a V6 automatic. Saw no reason to pay an extra $10K (33%!) for BMW 330i. 330i is more refined and has a nicer interior, but G35 has more room, better styling, and a better sound system. First Infiniti Ive owned. Build quality seems good though it developed a rattle in the dash after two-weeks that was there for a day and then gone the next. Would love to have gotten the 280hp coupe (with a manual trans), but my lease was up and I needed a car ASAP.

think twice before you buy - 2006 Infiniti G35
By Look Good, Think Twi - August 7 - 4:33 pmThe G35 Infinity is reliable. The Bose system is excellent. The front end is solid but the steering is poor. The engine has some power but the high-end torque is non-existent! If you like the exterior styling then this is the only good said about the G35. Everything else falls below average. If engine, steering, suspension, brakes, vision, and all the other characteristics about any car are all good then one would think that the car is all good, right? Wrong! And very wrong at that! It is how everything works in coherence that is of 100% importance, and this car (G35) has nothing working in coherence! American, German cars will be honest with gas mileage, Infinity will not. Think Twice!
