Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

The I35 - 2004 Infiniti I35
By jchan2 - October 15 - 9:20 pmI bought an I35 about a week ago brand new and everything so far is pretty good. The ride is fine, the price was right and the design was pretty good, if not a little plain.

06 M45 Luxury Muscle Car - 2006 Infiniti M45
By Silk - October 14 - 4:30 am06 M45 non-sport journeyman off lease 32k miles. So much fun to drive you just donÂ’t want to get out. Powerful and smooth acceleration at all speeds. All controls are easy to operate. IÂ’m 6Â’4 & fit very well in terms of head and leg room. The M45 was the right combination of power, ride quality and technology goodies for me. The Bose sound system is wonderful. The M45 sport was just too stiff a ride for me. The M35 does not have the same power, only 1 MPG difference anyway. I bought the Infiniti extended warranty (bumper to bumper) till 100k miles or 2014. Infinity also has the best car loaner program. You always get a loaner (g35) no matter how old or out of warranty your infiniti.

6 Month Review! - 2005 Infiniti G35
By JRealtor05 - October 11 - 5:06 pmEven after 6 months, this car is still the best buy to be had in the entry level luxury segment. The build quality of the interior has weakened within the past 6 months and there are noticable squeaks and rattles in various spots. Also, the speakers vibrate a lot despite not playing loud music. The interior is very comfortable and luxurious but I am disappointed by the power seat controls on the inner seat because you lose things between the seat and console with no hope of rescue. Still very comfortable on long drives with a relatively smooth, sporty ride. The styling still turns heads when you drive it. Lots of compliments on the car. Fuel economy is consistent at 19 mpg but it is AWD.

Great Ride, but needs a couple tweaks - 2011 Infiniti FX
By zjk - October 10 - 9:21 amI picked up my FX the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and have just over 1000 miles on it. The seats are extremely comfortable, the ride is great, it is very quiet, but a couple things bother me. Compared to my 2007 Acura MDX (my other vehicle) the voice recognition system is clumsy, especially when it comes to making phone calls. The other thing that bothers me, and this may be petty, is that the center arm rest is too short. I always drive with my left arm on the arm rest. With the arm rest being a bit short or too far back, my elbow rests wrong and it is a bit uncomfortable. Other than that that, I really like the truck.

Great value, but... - 2007 Infiniti G35
By stradale - October 10 - 2:13 amThis car is a blast. It handles superbly, revs quickly all the way up to 7500, and offers superior comfort. For the money it cant be beat. However, its a little rough around the edges. The throttle hangs when you release it and then the RPMs drop suddenly, limiting responsiveness. Engine vibrates noticeably at higher RPM. Sunroof seems to create some wind noise at >70 MPH.

Great choice for 30-40k! - 2002 Infiniti I35
By cbiddle - October 4 - 5:43 pmI looked at a C320 but it cost too much for what you get. The next one was a 3.2 TL which was a decent car and quicker, but looked like a polished Honda. So I went for the I35 w/ more conservative styling, larger size and mid-range price. (1% over invoice) I got every option. I wasnt sure about the chrome wheels (too flashy?) but I get alot of compliments. In short, great car, good deal, great service from dealer (had some options put on the car.) 9 out of 10.

Needs telescopic steering - 1998 Infiniti I30
By evilted - October 2 - 10:00 amGreat car. Handles well for a sedan. Lots of room, well built, looks good in and out. Major problem if youre tall- no telescopic steering wheel. Youll have to choose between the comfort of your legs or arms- because the only way to get the steering wheel closer to you is to scoot the seat forward. I guess the Nissan guys figured tall people have really long arms. Also it would be nice if the standard tranny were more readily available.
