Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

I35 - 2004 Infiniti I35
By Schach - July 3 - 10:00 amMy I35 is spectacular. It is very powerful, luxurious, full-featured and the best buy out there! This car is definitely a bull in sheeps clothing - conservative styling with a very powerful engine! I highly recommend the I35 for those looking for a luxurious sports sedan.

300Z Reincarnated - 2004 Infiniti G35
By H. W. Rhodes - July 3 - 10:00 amWhat a thrill to drive. It is truly a sports car with excellent handling and road hugging beyond belief. It doesnt provide the comfort of my previous Q45 but since it is a sports car, I didnt really think that it would. Be careful because if is really quiet and has pick up beyond belief. No wonder they like this engine in the IRL.

Great Ride! - 2004 Infiniti G35
By greenwater - July 3 - 1:10 amVery comfortable, fast, easy to drive, quiet inside, nice throaty sound outside, great sound system. Terrific car for the money and it has a backseat unlike the 350Z.

Lovin it - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Blake - July 2 - 11:13 pmI got my G35 for my college graduation present and I LOVE IT! Its just beautiful to look at. I like driving it too! Mine is silver/ grey interior w/ sport package. The sport package is a plus because the 18 wheels are nice. I like how the car hugs the road around corners and is definitely a head turner. Ive had my car for 3.5 months and I already have 4,000 miles. Had a small problem with the cup holder but my Infiniti dealer got me a new one. Troncalli Infiniti in Atlanta where I got my car was great but I recently visited Infiniti of Nashville and the service was horrible. Plus they charged me $50 for just an oil change. Other then that, Im lovin my car.

The Only SUV You Need - 2008 Infiniti QX56
By murphdog - June 30 - 10:40 amI just traded an 04 for an 08. You cant believe how different the two are. The 08 has been elegantly refreshed with wood, heated steering, Bluetooth, Power rear seats, etc etc. I didnt believe they could improve on the 04, which I thought was a great truck..but they did. The ride is far superior to the 04. The nav, DVD, XM, 20" wheels are all tremendous improvements. We have driven them all... Escalade, Denali, Range Rover, Navigator - nothing holds a candle to this car.

Muy Excellente - 2008 Infiniti G35
By t ham - June 25 - 11:13 amAMAZING engine with immediately ready torque and speed. With this comes less than average fuel economy and that is ok, you cant have both. I think its doing around 18 overall, and for those of you who ride about 5-8 mph over the speed limit, youll be at 3200rpm at 75 mph. Like I said, its the trade off you get for such a hungry engine. Im not sure if a 6th gear would fix this, but I think that may make this car perfect. The tan leather with real wood trim is very rich looking. Easy to use nav & controls. Simply put, its the most fun car Ive ever driven and its not even close - add Japanese reliability for icing on the cake. Bravo Infiniti.

Poor Mans Lexus - 2008 Infiniti G35
By Mike from Tempe - June 25 - 4:20 amSuper impressed with this car (so far)! Weve owned Mercedes (S, CLK, & E - Class), Jaguars, and Audis in the past and are tired of paying $200+ for a key-fob!! Switched to Japanese for the reliability factor...and...theres not many of these on the road (vs. 3- series BMW! Quicker 0-60 than my 99 CLK 430!! Would have paid another 20K for a similar model Lexus!

Awesome - 2007 Infiniti QX56
By LastOneUp - June 24 - 10:36 amThis is a fantastic SUV. The ride is very smooth for such a large car and the power is incredible. The interior of the car is plush, big leather seats, entertainment system, GPS, awesome gauge layout, everything you could want. By far the best car I have ever owned. If you want luxury, size, power, and looks this is the car.
