Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

  • Simply the best - 2003 Infiniti QX4

I sold my 2006 Land Cruiser and bought QX4 and cannot be happier. QX4 is much more fun to drive. QX4 is functional - every detail makes sense. Engine is a powerful beast. This car is a classic and for an SUV you will not find any better deal.

Overall a great car! The value you get buying this car over the Lexus IS350, BMW 335I, and Mercedes C350 is awesome. We got it fully loaded with the Tech, Nav, Prem, and Sports pkg. If you are looking for a fast car that has a lot of luxury for a better price than the others in this segment you cant go wrong. Cornering with the sports suspensions is amazing! You will feel all the imperfections of a bad road. Back seat has plenty of room for 2 teenage skinny girls, and car seat for my little boy. Be prepared for some envious people!

  • No regrets. - 2000 Infiniti G20

The car is very fuel efficient. Handles great, mine has the rack and pinion steering, makes excellent for maneuvering in bad weather. Overall, the appearance of the vehicle is amazing, infiniti paint job, sporty body similar to Mitsubishis Lancer.

I was looking for an AWD care that is sporty and fun to drive and not over $40,000(purchased right after the test drive). I own the auto xG35 with the prem package. This car is by far the fastest car I have ever driven. It also handles very well. If you want a car that is good in snow, fun to drive, with lots of nice features, and faster than 99% of the cars on the road, then this is the car for you. The prem package is a must. The keyless entry & start is worth it alone. You walk up to the car (with keys in your pocket), hit a button, open the door, turn the ignition, while the seats, mirrors, and steering wheel adjusts to your settings, then put it in drive and put the hammer down.

  • 54,000 Miles No Problems - 2003 Infiniti G35
    By -

I now have 54,000 miles. Other than routine Mobil 1 oil changes, 1 set of tires [35,000], brakes at 50,000. I have only been to the dealer for recalls. Just recently a squeak showed up that I will take it in for the first time with a problem. This is still remarkable tight and is a pleasure to drive on long high speed trips. It is the most reliable car of the 38 that I have owned. I love it!

  • NICE RIDE - 2003 Infiniti I35

  • WOW - 2003 Infiniti G35

I think I test drove every single sport sedan in the market, and I kept coming back to the infiniti and the Lexus is300. However, as I am not 18 years old the Lexus just did not fit. I have never been more happy with a car. It accelerates like a dream and you never lose one once of control! The steering is tight and comfortable, the seats feel like your sitting in a Lay-Z-Boy. and the instruments and toys are very accessable. This car rides as well going 10mph in traffic ( I live in Chicago, so I get this a lot ) as it does going 80 down the Edens. All in all, I would be very suprised if some one test drove this car and bought another.
