Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

What else can you say about this car. The performance is absolutely amazing for the price and can hang with other car on the road for almost 20 grand more. Always looking forward in driving the G, catching people in the corner of your eye turning heads and hearing people tell you that youve got a sweet ride! No regrets.

Fun to drive(handles like a go-cart); dependable; would recommend to others; my first Japanese car; would purchase again; enjoy being able to make appointments for service 7 days a week; only downside is brakes every wear excessive (all replaced within 18000 miles!).

  • Redefine Luxury SUV - 2006 Infiniti QX56

I just bought this SUV at the first of this month. I am in love with this SUV. I saw one in town and just fell in love with it. I almost got a speeding ticket trying to find out what kind of SUV that was. I stay in a small town in southwest GA and all luxury cars that are down here are Lexus, Lincolns, and Cadillacs an occasional Audi or Mercedies. This SUV stands out. I thought about gettting an Escalade or a Navigator but everyone has one so when I saw the Infiniti I just knew that was the SUV for me. My QX56 is fully loaded. Thank you so much Roswell Infiniti of Roswell GA.

Car was the best purchase I have made. I am 20 years old and previous to this I had a acura rsx which did not have the low end torque i was lookng for. This car gives me everything I need. Performance is great, ride quality, and looks great inside and out. I test drove other cars in its class bmw 330 ci and lexus 350 and both cars just did not but out the amount of power car the g 35 does.

  • Bought one of last 2004 Infiniti QX56s - 2004 Infiniti QX56

Was a little concerned about buying a 2004 model, but Ive owned it for two weeks & I love it. My freind just bought a new 2004 Lincoln Navigator, so we did a side by side comparrison. The Infiniti QX56 kills it. It has more horsepower and torque. The styling of both trucks is great, but the fit and finish of the QX56 is better than the Navigators. The Navigators rear hatch motor is very noisy, while the QX56s is quiet. My friend has owned Navigator for three months and it hasalready been in the shop three times. He wishes he bought the QX56. I love the birds eye veiw Navigation system and the stereo. The interior is unique with the blond wood and bushed alum; very plush & comfertable. This SUV is very fast & fun to drive. I look forward to driving it any time I have to someware.

  • Excellent Improvement over the older ver - 2001 Infiniti QX4

I have driven a 1999 QX4 for a month before and it was terribly underpowered. But with about 240 HP and 265 Torque, its really fast. I love the looks, and the interior luxury. I go on really long trips and never felt bad for buying this car(well, gas mileage aint great though).

This car has all the things I was looking for. Fast, responsive, and comfortable. The rear seats recline! Why buy a 3 Series for more money?

I searched months for the right new car and found it in the 2005 Infiniti Q45. It is powerful, quiet, smooth, comfortable and reliable. Most important I am as pleased today as I was when I first made the purchase.
