Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

  • Just bought and glad I did - 1998 Infiniti I30

I just bought this used at the local Mazda dealer. It was a one owner trade- in. The dealer had it on their lot for about 4 months, and finally discounted it to get rid of it. This could be the best used car I have every gotten. Great performance, great ride, love the looks and the 5-speed. First week I owned it I took to business trips that totalled over 1,000 miles. Got 27.75 mpg, and about smiled allthe way to the bank. The Saturday before I found this one I almost bought a new i35. They are making terrific deals on the 2003 models, but I got this car for about 1/3 of the new one. The car is as tight as a new one. A little less HP and I saved $20,000.

  • Simply Awesome - 2011 Infiniti G Sedan

After researching several vehicles, Im very happy with my purchase. This G37X is without a doubt the best vehicle I have driven, so much fun to drive. Its only been a couple of days so far, but there is nothing I dont like about this vehicle. It is very well made, solid, comfortable and fun to drive. If you are thinking about a sports sedan, make sure you check this one out.

  • Awesome - 2008 Infiniti QX56

I am loving my new QX. I got it at the start of the new year. It has been great. I have 4 children and they fit very well. The 3rd row has theater seating so seeing the DVD is no problem. The ride is very smooth. It is as close to a sedan as any full size SUV I have been in. It has power to spare. Passing on 2 lane highways is a breeze. The cabin is very quiet despite the big 20in wheels. It has been great on the snow traction with the variable 4 wheel drive.

  • North Bay, CA - 2002 Infiniti G20

Dealership . . . Stewart Infiniti was FANTASTIC! They had virtually EVERY color IN STOCK and I could take my choice. Not like the other bay area dealers who said that they could "arrange" a "red one" for at least a couple of grand more than I paid at Stewart. I got silver with graphite leather and couldnt be happier. The moment I spoke with Chris, I knew that I wanted to spend my dollars at Stewart Infiniti in Colma. Yes - THAT good! The power thing . . . hmmm. We are a young family more interested in things like braking, traction, handling, safety, comfort, etc.

  • G35 Greatness!!! - 2004 Infiniti G35

The Infiniti G35 Sports Coupe is just a blast to drive! And its fast too! It may be the greatest sports coupe ever made, and its definitely the best sports coupe out there today. This car is definitely a "guy" car that gets so many looks and compliments! A brawny 280 hp engine, sleek and sporty design, and Infiniti quality and customer service are all bundled in a mid $30K package, which is about $7K less than a BMW 330ci. For the price, the Infiniti G35 Sports Coupe is quite a steal - better get yours today. It is the best car I have ever owned.

  • My Infiniti - 2017 Infiniti QX50
    By -

Our family needed a SUV, I searched from internet got a lot of quotes but none of them really reached my attention. Then I saw the QX50, I looked at the car reviews and they said they were pretty good. So I went to the Infiniti dealer and test drove it. It was amazing, It was fast, smooth and drives excellent! The dealer gave me a excellent cheap price that was below my budget so I bought it. My wife and kids love it and so do I. I put 7k miles and its been a year and so far so good with no problems. I would recommend this for families that are looking for a cheap luxe crossover.

  • 4+ yrs of ownership - 2003 Infiniti G35
    By -

I bought my G35 new on May 15th 2003 and love it! The acceleration and suspension are unmatched for any car in its class and even above its class. My brother has a Mercedes, but loves to drive my G35. I have triptronic, but rarely need to use it since it has so much power available. The car looks and drives as well as the day I bought it 4 years ago. The only maintenance performed has been the replacement of brakes, tires and oil. A very reliable and fun to look at and drive vehicle. I have nothing but great things to say about my vehicle after 4+ yrs of ownership.

  • A6 to G35 - 2003 Infiniti G35

I had been looking to replace my 1998 Audi A6with an entry level luxary car. Thus, I drove and ranked my prefrences as such G35,A4 Quattro, BMW 330i, The perfect car for me would be a G35 exterior, a G35 powertrian and the A4 interior and quattro system. Individually the G35 was the most impressive to me, but the Audi A4 3.0 manual quattro was a close second, So far I love the G35. I cant imagine anyone that wouldnt.

  • Deceptively Fast - 2008 Infiniti G35
    By -

After evaluating the Merecedes C350, BMW 335 and the Lexus IS350, I recently chose the Infinity G35XS. One of the compelling reasons was the value for the dollar compared to the others. Infiniti offers the power, sport/luxury look with the latest hi- tech technology for under 54k tax-in. Hard to say no to that.
