Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Great Sport Sedan!!! - 2006 Infiniti M45
By Bobby - March 7 - 9:10 pmThe 2006 M-45 Sport is a great sport sedan and I think it is the best value of all the good sedans out there. If you compare it to its real peer group, BMW 545/550,MB E500/550,AUDI S-6, it is as fast or faster, handles and brakes better, has more user features in the interior, and is less expensive! My car is loaded with Voice-activated Navigation ,Bluetooth , heated and cooled seats,DVD,6-disc CD changer, leather, 19 in. brushed aluminum sport wheels, etc. It is the best drivers sport sedan I have ever owned. The acceleration is very quick (0-60 in 5.2 sec.), the brakes are phenomenal, and the handling is very flat around fast corners.

Great Choice - 2003 Infiniti G35
By BabyFace301 - March 2 - 10:00 amThe G35 is an excellent car. For the power, features, and design you cant go wrong. Youll get addicted to driving this car. This car will surprise you with how it handles, accelerates, and stops. Just an excellent alternative to BMW or Audi.

toyota ex - 2003 Infiniti G35
By pinque - March 2 - 10:00 amAfter 15 years as a devoted Toyota person, I was lured away by beauty. The brochure from infiniti was all I really needed...the test drive was confirmation. As an designer, the total simplicity of the sport coupe was the hook...no mouldings, no grooves, no unnecessary folds...just a shape for a driving machine. And even after a 10-year affair with an MR2 Turbo, I am continually impressed with everything about this car...it makes me feel really smart. One piece of advice...get the 6MT with all the bells!

blown away..... - 2003 Infiniti G35
By scarrabblue - March 2 - 10:00 amAfter doing much research about this car, I finally own one!! Having driven a Maxima for 6 years, I am already impressed with Nissans marvelous engines....but this thing is amazing! Step on the gas, and WHAM! It flies. The handling is excellent, and the ride smooth.

Sport Suspension - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Bob Wood - March 2 - 3:00 amWow! Great update to an already exceptional car. If you prefer a performance ride, by all means get the sport model. I had an 03 that was an awesome handleing machine. The standard 05 has a very soft ride...too soft in fact - Beware!

2000 Infiniti I30 - 2000 Infiniti I30
By therock411 - February 24 - 10:00 amMy previous vehicle was a 1995 Mercedes Benz C220, and I cannot find the words to even begin a comparison between the 2 cars. The Infiniti I30 is spacious and powerfully built, yet nimble and swift. It includes more standard features than I have ever seen in any other luxury brand, and its 200-Watt Bose 7 Speaker sound system (including woofer) combined with the best V6 in the world prove that my previous experience with luxury cars will forever fall short of the I30. The Infinitis price is lower than most of its competitors yet it outperforms nearly all of them, in every respect!

Simply Amazing.. - 2005 Infiniti G35
By amg006 - February 23 - 9:18 amIf you want a sports car with a luxury feel, get the G35 coupe. This car is simply awesome. It isnt overly common like the BMW 3 series, but it handles just as great. It is very pretty to look, and then again it isnt in the shop every other week like my old A4. My one gripe with this car would have to be the fuel economy, if your lucky youll avg about 20mpg for a tank, compared to the 30 of the A4. But then again somthing needs to fuel that monster. You step on the pedal and your flying, before i bought this car i drove the IS250,325CI,A4, and C230. The G blows all of them away. It gives you much more power(that is much more reliable) then all of its competitors and for a lower price.

Q45t - 1998 Infiniti Q45
By Gerald Lindsey - February 22 - 6:03 amI previously owned a Cadillac Seville STS. The Infiniti seems "tighter" in steering. Its faster from 0-60 mph than the Caddy. Really smooth.

Best Sports Car Ive Had - 2008 Infiniti G37
By MYNorona - February 19 - 8:36 pmIve driven Porsches, BMWs, and a Corvette. This one beats them all as for my personal taste. I look forward each time to drive my new G37 car. The technological advancement from my old G35 2005 to G37 2008 feels like 10 years difference. Im a big fan of manual shift gears on cars but the Paddle Shifter is so much fun to use. Especially, I get busy making my calls while I drive most of the time. I just experimented recording with the digital flash card to play music and it sounded awesome. I cant believe were living the day and age of advanced technoloy today. On this car its true that you get more than what you pay for. I cant wait next week when I install my Infiniti exhaust system
