Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

  • Exceptional Value & Style - 2001 Infiniti G20

As a previous owner of an Acura, I have been even more pleasantly surprised at the reliability of the Infiniti by contrast. Since the rear seats fold down, the car has a surprising amount of cargo space. Loaded with extras such as a Bose sound system, heated seats, moon roof and more, I have been spoiled rotten for almost two years now. Im very happy with the car and its low price. Plus, its a sleek, sporty car that handles great and fits nicely into tight parking spots.

  • I Love This Car!!! - 2003 Infiniti I35

I bought this car new- buying from Infinity dealerships is a pleasure. I test drove every V6 4 door sedan out there and this car stood out. I love the big engine/exceleration- never a problem geting on an on-ramp. The interior is very roomy compared to other cars in its class and very luxurious. In 2 years I have had no service issues- only have had to do standard maintenance. My only complaints- the turning radius sucks, and that big engine only gives me 19-20 mpg in the city (which is where most of my miles come from).

  • Joy to drive - 2000 Infiniti Q45

My anniversary edition Q45 has excellent fit and finish. The style has really held up well. I love the wheels. This has been a carefree car. It will be 6 years old this summer and still is a beautiful car. I like the option of being able to go from the standard ride to the "sports" ride. The dealership is great and unlike many dealers any service work is very reasonably priced.

  • Terrific car - 2001 Infiniti I30

After a harrowing Volvo experience, I wanted a reliable car. I bought a certified preowned I30 for the 100k warranty. Today, I traded the car-- without ever having to use the warranty in 97000 miles. I just replaced the brakes at 90k. This has been a fantastic car for me--plenty of power, comfort and space. It was hard to find a replacement.

  • The search is over!! - 2008 Infiniti QX56
    By -

I test drove all the SUV in the same categories. After 3 mos. of searching I finally made my decision. Infiniti QX56 is the one. I searched for the roomiest third row seat, roomy 2nd row seat and all the gadget that I experienced in driving all competitors in the same categories I found that QX56 has it all.

Beautiful car with powerful engine. The leather interior cannot measure up to Lexuss although the design is far better.

  • One of the best cars out there - 2003 Infiniti G35

Personally I love the look, this car is an amazing performer. I took it to a local twisty road and my friend couldnt close his mouth. Better all round car than Z. BMW is so not worth it, 30K + tax = 10 grand less than 330ci performance + happy customer. :) It is definitely deserving of its title as Motor Trend COTY. The 6 speed has perfect gearing, is a hoot to drive, only car I like more is Porsche 911 and Boxter S, which cost 3 and 2 times as much respectively. Go out, test drive both a BMW 330Ci and a coupe 6spd and then choose, if you like the BMW, you can pay 10K more for a car that will break down faster. Really amazing. best car for 30K available.
