Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

2004 - 9 years later (2013) - 2004 Infiniti G35
By ay9i - August 1 - 10:04 am4 vehicles in the household, BMW, Infiniti QX4, and 2 G35s - an 03 and 04. Have had many other brands. We have kept our G35s all these years as they are a wonderful blend of performance, appearance, and luxury appointments supported by an outstandingly reliable and safe, fun to drive sporty car with usable back seat and cargo/trunk. The only problems - ever - are minor electrical over 9 and 10 years. Door lock actuators on both cars failed ($150 ea) and radio/climate control head repair ($400) on the 04. Both vehicles have about 70k miles garaged but driven year round including rough Canadian winters. Simply unbeatable combination of value, quality, reliability, luxury and fun.

G37XS - 2009 Infiniti G37
By wmck69 - July 31 - 7:30 amI must have looked at 20-30 different cars makes and models (Lexus, BMW, Acura) and after 4 months of looking and test drving (and reading all the user review), this was by far the best choice ever made. I wanted the best 4-dr sports car and didnt want to pay the BWM price tag for the same performance and repairs are insane for you BMW owners. It is tight, extremely smooth, its my little red ferrari. So glad I got the "S" model. The 18" wheels and paddle shifters are awesome.

QX60 - 2017 Infiniti QX60
By Kelly DeVille - July 31 - 12:26 amI love the comfort and look of the SUV. It handles quietly and comfortablely on the road excoept when the road is wet. No matter how slowly I turn on a wet road, the back of the QX60 loses traction and fishtails. This makes driving in the rain very unnerving. I hope that fix this issue in future models. Otherwise, it is a great SUV!

Cant believe they stopped making these - 2003 Infiniti QX4
By Bret - July 28 - 3:10 amJust bought the car on 31st of Jan 08. It snowed about 6 inches here in the Chicago Land area and boy was I glad to finally have a vehicle with 4X4. Classy leather interior with elegant woodgrain trim. Extremely smooth and powerful drive for a mid-class SUV.

This car is gorgeous - 2001 Infiniti Q45
By Ladybug - July 27 - 1:16 pmMy Q45t is absolutely awesome. Its not only a classy car to drive but the road performance and gas mileage are unbelievable for a full size luxury car. We have not had one single problem with it, unlike the problems that we have heard about with the G35. I dont understand why Infiniti changed the body style. The 2001 is so much better looking, in my opinion.

my m45 - 2003 Infiniti M45
By c mckee - July 27 - 10:00 amThis car is in a class of its own. Since the purchase of my m45 I have had many people ask about it. And a lot of thumbs up on the interstate. It is 197in long and 340hp a lot faster than the cars in the 60-70k range. "bmw" "benz" O and the VDC has saved me from skiding more than once in wet weather.

Solid car for the money - 2003 Infiniti I35
By Tom - July 26 - 6:43 amI bought this car looking for comfort, performance/sportiness, luxury/sleek elegant look and a bit of exclusivity. 12k miles into it Ive found all this and then some. Among the competition, (es300/TL), I went with the i35 due to its performance (3.5L versus 3.0, 3.2), comparable gas mileage (20/26), comfort in the little things (sunshade, rear heated seats, sojourner leather), build quality and reliability (its a maxima in disguise). TLs and ES300s are a dime a dozen, this car was Infinitis hidden car. Its nice to roll in a car that has a lot of everything, yet isnt seen 5 times in 1 in block. The ride is very smooth and no major issues have arrived.

We have Two, a 2008 and the new 2011 - 2011 Infiniti FX
By Robert0418 - July 25 - 10:00 amWe have had a number of Fx 35s the one we traded for the 2011 had 120 K miles on it. The 2008 was a great vehicle with unbelievable reliability and quality, the 2011 is new with low mileage but its already proving to be a better vehicle.
