Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Driver and Vehicle Become One - 2005 Infiniti QX56
By ed klee - July 2 - 12:33 amThe instrument panel is very attractive with out effecting the need for being functonal. Instrumentation did not leave me wanting! The comfort of the seats and color co-ordination with the hardwear; first class. they just didnt miss a beat from the rear view monitor to the navigation system and ever thing in between.I would like to know what if anything they left out. The exterior is a combination of the look of power and style just what i was looking for in an suv. Under the hood total power and acceleration more than I can use.

I35 review - 2002 Infiniti I35
By Ron - July 1 - 10:00 amThis has been the best car I have ever purchased and I have had many. It gets better gas mileage than most 4 cylinder cars and has a very responsive 6. The front wheel drive is great for winter snows in the mountains. The fold down rear seat has come in handy many times for hauling material.

kudos - 2005 Infiniti QX56
By LC - June 30 - 5:06 pmThe QX 56 has taken us by surprise. We previously had suburbans and lincolns and this vehicle beats both hands down.It lacks the rear space of the suburban, but has enough room. The smoothness, handly and quality are above and beyond what we expected. great car for the price. We looked at Sequioas and the interior space was not as nice as the infiniti. A great family SUV. Highly recommended.

Excellent sport sedan - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Rod R. - June 30 - 3:53 pmMost fun ride Ive ever had. Hope my next vehicle is somewhere close to it. A little short on tire and brake lives, but more than makes up for it on the pavement. Very roomy interior and trunk. Outstanding acceleration and handling. Had the factory sport suspension package so no lean in the corners, and no lift at all on the highway with the factory aero package. No complaints at all on this car.

Excellent value, excellent performance - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Damare - June 30 - 7:56 amMy wife and I had been looking at Q45s, GS 400s, and LS 400s and were about to purchase a Q45 from a local dealer. Just for fun we saw a private owner selling a G35 for a great price and decided to take a look and a drive. The rest is history. The G35 is the best value for the money hands down. Acceleration, handling, styling, its all in the bag with the G.

Bye Bye BMW - 2006 Infiniti G35
By Rob - June 29 - 7:10 amI read a review of the G35x before I purchased it in which the reviewer said, "I just bought a G35X, can someone please wipe the smile off my face?" I bought the car and cant think of a better way to recommend it. Driving this car is like driving a space shuttle. It handles, it accelerates, and it makes you feel like driving. I now look at the BMW 3 Series cars I passed over for this one and thank myself again and again for doing so. As far as a driving experience goes for a luxury sports sedan goes, it just can;t get any better than this.

Love this car - 2005 Infiniti G35
By jghspt - June 27 - 12:20 pmI have only put 1000 miles on this car, but I love it. I drove a 2000 Mustang GT for 5 years so this was an upgrade. I have lost nothing in straight line performance and it handles much better. It also is much more luxurious. I think it is gorgeous and the performance is excellent. I am getting daily compliments on how it looks. It also sounds very nice, although nothing beats the old Mustang. The price is a fair value, probably a very good value. I considered a BMW 330i, but it costs more. I also considered another Mustang, but this car is easily worth the extra $9 to $10,000 more.
