Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

  • Great Value for the money - 2000 Infiniti I30

This was my first car I have bought since I graduated college. I have 45,000 miles on it and have only replaced the brakes. The engine is great and the car handles well too. Customer Service at the dealer was great and it still great when I get oil changes.

This car is almost perfect. The engines smooth and powerful. Theres an actual useable trunk. Theres room for five adults. The handlings better than anything Ive driven, and it costs $5,000 less than the other quality cars I considered.

  • Feel the power!! - 2003 Infiniti G35

I love this car! Got the Desert Platinum with leather, Premium, Sport, Winter, Aero, and Xenon. This is my first luxery/sport car. Considered the BMW 530i, Acura TL-S, and Lexus GS300. This car blows them all away in performance, room, and price. Best car for the money.

  • Exceeding expectations - 2003 Infiniti G35

When I saw this new car, I thought the styling was okay, not spectacular, but okay. THEN I drove the car! Reminded me of my old 66 Charger with a hemi crossed with the suspension of my BMW. actually made me go "WHOOOO".

  • Infiniti I30 - 2000 Infiniti I30

I am the second owner of this I30. I purchased this vehicle with 85,000 miles and it now has 105,000. This is the best vehicle, other than a Jaguar, that I have ever driven or owned. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking to purchase a nice car that not many people own. I havent seen but a few in my area. Gas mileage is average. Reliability is excellent.

  • Great reliable sports car with luxury - 2004 Infiniti G35

Looks are outstanding, I get a lot of positive comments on it. Extremely reliable and top quality as with all infinitis I have owned. Very comfortable on open road and love the sound of the engine reving. It is very fast yet has classic good looks.

  • Best Sports Sedan under $35K - 2008 Infiniti G35
    By -

Unmatched performance for the price. Acceleration, handling, braking are all at the top of the class. Fuel economy is decent considering the performance (I get 20 mpg, with 75% city driving). Packed with luxury features like touch screen nav, back up camera, iPod interface, bi-Xenon headlights, Bluetooth, voice recognition, etc. Interior is roomy with great seat comfort (driver seat has 16-way adjustment on Sport model). Cant go wrong with a G.

  • Excellent - 2004 Infiniti QX56

The vehicle is extremely comfortable in driving and riding. Gas mileage seems no better or worse than other SUVs previously owned. Brakes have been the biggest problem; however I live in a very hilly part of the US.

  • Awesome Value - 2002 Infiniti G20
    By -

I found a 2002 with 35000 miles on the clock, and have added 7000 miles before writing this review. For the small price I paid, I love this car. I get great mileage and comfort without the high cost of buying a stripped down toyota or honda on the used market. This is an awesome vehicle for the high gas prices this year, I have averaged 32-33 mpg highway. It is an ultimate executive beater!

  • A wonderful ride and excellent buying experience - 2012 Infiniti M
    By -

The cabin is absolutely luxurious, with a very sporty feel. All of the materials feel wonderful (I got the Premium and Deluxe Touring packages, which add a little to the experience). It is whisper quiet, has LOADS of power, and an amazing array of gizmos. In searching, I ended up visiting dealerships in two different states, and they were both really great. I bought it at Cochran Infiniti in Pittsburgh, and they include a pick-up service where theyll drop off a loaner Infiniti and take your car to service (even though we live 80 miles away!).
