Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

What a car - 2002 Infiniti Q45
By huskerguy - August 17 - 9:53 pmFast, Fast & comfortable-no problems did not get nav system-too hard for me.Clock hard to read--Drives well at speed near & over 100. Tested one at my nearest dealer, but he could not locate a millenium jade. Bought from a dealer who could get my color. I must be careful to check tach to see if engine is running-so quiet & vibration free. Wife loves to drive it also. Original tires have 1/3+ tread after 49K miles.

LOVE this car - 2014 Infiniti QX60
By baflyfisher - August 17 - 2:31 amWe opted for the Infiniti QX60 after some research and having it in a list of "maybes", but we were unexpectedly sold on the vehicle by driving it! Whoever wrote the review about the car being "sluggish" or handling sluggishly obviously drove a different car than this one. This QX60 has excellent acceleration getting on freeways and it is incredibly well designed from a space utilization standpoint and for comfort of driver and occupants. The ride is also more quiet than any of the competitors we tested. I would also be quick to say that our new car has only 3000 miles on it. Nothing at all has gone wrong to this point. This car is a winner for families with kids.

Vroom Vroom - 2003 Infiniti G35
By C Kelley - August 14 - 10:00 amI always thought a car was four wheels and an engine. Not anymore! This is such a fun car to drive. It handles like a dream and those 260 horses are ready when I am. It hugs the road even at high speeds. When I tell my friends that I bought the G35 they all say they have heard great things about the car and my friends that have actually seen the car go nuts. They want one too! In the past 10 days I have driven from LA to San Diego, Morro Bay and La Jolla. What a ride!

Total change - 2004 Infiniti G35
By Casseleyot - August 14 - 10:00 amAfter six DeVilles, thought I would try something more fun to drive, but thought I would have to give up comfort and luxury features...NOT! The G35 has great road feel, tremendous mid-range (35-90+mph)torque, supportive comfortable seats, and a beautiful cabin layout. It also has most of the luxury features of my 03 DHS, including great sound system, satellite radio, zoned air, heated, multi-adjustable and lumbar supported drivers seat. Even for an older driver like myself, its a lot of fun to drive.

By Calvin Dill - August 11 - 2:47 pmIf you are looking for a dependable, great road care that is comfortable for long drives and has kid entertainment with good around town manners and bang for your buck this is the best luxury vehicle on the market. If you are looking for fair gas mileage and a great large SUV the QX80 will thrill you if gas mileage is your top priority stay away from the QX80.

My dream car - 1999 Infiniti I30
By The beauty of cars - August 9 - 3:53 pmThis is my first car so obviously I like it, but when I saw this car it was a bit different. I was immediately in love. It drives like a sports car yet is as comfortable like a luxury car. The sound system is unbelievable for a stock system. The sunroof is a good touch.
