Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

  • Bluetooth is poor - 2007 Infiniti G35

Be informed Infiniti provides a list of compatible phones that will work with the G35 on their website. The selection of cellphones is poor and when infiniti was contacted they could not explain how they would keep in pace with new cell phone offerings amongst the various carriers. I was not informed of this prior to purchase and have found it to be a disappointment, due to the fact my freedom of choice in selecting a cellphone has been eliminated.

  • Very not impressive - 2002 Infiniti I35

This car hasnt impressive quality that Infiniti has been advertizing. I have driven for one year, and had so many problems with several rattles, wind noise, cocked steering wheel, out- of-round tires, bad compass, and even bad dealership services. We are thinking about selling this mess off.

Car is wonderful to drive. Technology is nonreliable poorly designed.. It takes 3-4 minutes for apps to load on start up- seems ok but during that time you can not turn radio on or off or change channels or volume. The back up camera lines do not work during app loading. The telephone connection for apple is constantly stopping Now I cant make any calls and am told I need to await a update and have no telephone with no time to correction they tell me the car was designed for apple technology but apple was not ready and they put microsoft in as a last resort- TERRIBLE In addition with poor design of left stalk it rotates off of auto light on turn signaling leading to possibility of either leaving lights in or alarm going off with stopping engine I was able to end my lease early and trade out of car. Now have jaguar f pace. Technology works and car is great to drive. Infiniti had zero tolerance to scratches etc. attempted to bill $15 for scratch! Stay away

  • Ultimate luxury for the price! - 2005 Infiniti G35

This car rides like a luxury car, handles like a sports car, and takes off like a motorcycle.

  • Luxury Sports Car - 2005 Infiniti G35

This car is for someone who demands luxury but wants the fun of a sports car. The exterior is sharp. I have many people taking a second look. It is fast, roomy and has some nice features. I previously owned a Lexus GS 400 and I know I made the right decision to trade in the Lexus for the Infinity.

  • Wow!! What a Ride - 2008 Infiniti G35

Finally pulled the plug on buying a new 2008 Journey with the Sport package, nav, premium. What a blast to drive and what a beauty to look at. Better yet, this probably is the most intuitively designed drivers cockpit that Ive seen. My friends who have BMWs are still trying to learn how to work their nav while Im burning CDs onto my in-car jukebox without a users manual. Amazing! The best steering wheel you can imagine. If youre thinking about buying this car, do it.

Get in and drive the hell out of it!! Great performance and handling---the traction control REALLY works great! Excellent paint and interior quality! The tire pressure indicator will really improve tire mileage----if you pay attention to it!!!!!

  • Awesome! - 2011 Infiniti QX56

I first bought a QX in 05 when I got my license. Traded in 2010 for my 2011.

  • Best of Class - 2004 Infiniti M45

I was passing a used car lot and saw this car, it looked interesting. The interior looked refined, comfortable and luxurious. Then I took a test drive and was hooked. Actually, test drove 3 of them and a Q within a month. This is a hard car to find and worth the effort to look. I got a black one with spoiler and the premium pkg last week. I drove it on a winding back road on Sunday. It was fantastic. The handling is exceptional on winding roads and freeways alike. The acceleration is unbelievabe and the amenities are the best in this class. The voice command system is great along with the sound system. Its a great car that you rarely see. Test drive it and youll be hooked too!
