Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Awesome Car - 2002 Infiniti I35
By DAVEH - October 31 - 10:00 amI researched this car purchase for nearly a year before picking the I35. I looked at the Camry, Audi A4, Acura TL, VW Passat and found the I35 to be the best value of the group. I commute nearly 3 hours a day in my car so I wanted something that was very comfortable (I am 63" -250 lbs) and reliable at a great value. After riding in a friends I30, I became seriously interested based on the smooth ride, great leg/head room and all the standard amentities that are options in other models considered.

Love it - 2006 Infiniti G35
By Dev - October 31 - 5:53 amI have had numerous vehicles including Mercdes Benz, Acrua, Honda, etc and I am nothing but impressed with my Infiniti. The AWD is AMAZING in the Utah snow storm, handles by far better and feels more secure than our newer Expeditions AWD system. I was skeptical as there is only one Infiniti dealership in Utah to service the car, but they have been amazing to work with. Always take care of me and are fair. The car is quick, agile and makes a nice healthy growl. Very posh ride and my friends LOVE that the rear seats recline making it a blast on longer road trips.

My M45 - 2004 Infiniti M45
By Stafford - October 30 - 12:23 amI purchased this car because it had a great review. After the initial purchase my experience was wow! I would love to purchase a new car but I am so satisfied with the overall experience that it make me scared that purchasing another car I will get less. Most new cars are great looking but their performance and overall quality is not as good as the 04 M45. A Mercedes S650 AMG. Talk about money. I guess its the 04 M45 for now and I love. See you on the highway in my rearview. LOL

Delivers more for less! - 2004 Infiniti G35
By JP26 - October 27 - 10:00 amI traded in a 99 BMW 540i and Ill admit I had reservations. After driving my G35x for a few weeks I dont miss the Bimmer at all. The G35 handles and performs beautifully, although I have noticed a bit of torque steer when the AWD kicks in on a slippery corner (I wouldnt normally accerate hard when taking a sharp corner in the rain, but wanted to see how the car would handle) Its roomy and comfortable inside I do miss the ride of the 540i/perf pkg, but wont miss staring at it in the driveway when the snow arrives. If you like a drivers car but dont want to pay (for the car or service) this is the car for you.

Fickle No More: QX56 Loyalist - 2005 Infiniti QX56
By Fickle Buyer - October 26 - 2:53 amOur search for the Dream family-sized SUV ended with the QX56. The size, ride, handling, ergonomics (exception: useless clock)and build quality is exceptional in this category. We blew through an Expedition EB (dont get me started), and a Sequoia Ltd (why do they STILL not have a fold- flat 3rd seat???)to get here. We ordered the bench 2nd-row: the 3rd doesnt split, requiring you to open the whole seat if you have 5 passengers in the Capts chair option. Just took a trip w/4 people,1 dog,4 sets of clubs & luggage.Plenty roomy! Mileage on hwy fully loaded is +/- 16mpg. Range of 400 miles per tank is great. Very smooth on and off-road (mudding through a construction zone). Buy it now!

Q45 Premium - 2004 Infiniti Q45
By JimMC - October 21 - 10:00 amI have previously owned BMW 740IL and Lexus LS430 and this Q, that I presently have, is the best value for the dollar spent. Other than locking the doors with the keys in the ignition, I have had no problems with this vehicle. I am waiting for the 2005s to appear this month and will mostlikely lease another Q. The navagation is very easy to use and the intelligent cruise is awesome. The dozens of voice commands make the car fun to drive. The exterior could be a little fancier, but all in all, Its the best car I have driven in my lifetime. Too bad that they are not more popular, so their value would stay higher, like their sister, Lexus.

Q50 AWD, Tech, Deluxe, Sport wheels, etc... - 2014 Infiniti Q50
By shimb - October 20 - 11:30 pmExcellent car! Perfect size for the sport luxury sedan. Quality feel inside and out. Quiet cabin, only 3.7 liter engine roar when pushed. Tech features are really nice, easy to use. The car can literally drive itself on the highway, you must see this... No way you can rear-end anyone, with car braking for you. Around view monitor with those sonar and radar warnings beeping and pulsing making garage entry and exit just a breeze. But, the most importantly, when get bored with all that automation, slight push to the gas pedal is leaving the "crowd" behind. The only concern when that happens, those runflat Dunlop tires are stiff and noisy. Not expecting them to last either, luckily.
