Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Infinti Warranty - 2000 Infiniti I30
By Shalchi - August 18 - 10:00 amI have had my 2000 Infiniti I30t for 7 months now; it had 46,000 miles when I bought it. however when I took it to the Infiniti dealer for repeated check engine light they made me buy an $18 gas cap to eliminate the light problem rather than they fix it, InfinitiÂ’s so called bumper to bumper warranty was like fender to fender, oh by the way their life time warranty on the paint is a big lie also, front end clicking noise was a concern as well, Infinite consumer affairs was not a big help either, and Infiniti will try so hard not to honor their bumper to bumper warranty.

One Month Review - 2005 Infiniti G35
By gmk519 - August 16 - 9:00 pmIve had my G35x for a few weeks now. It is everything I expected. Outstanding performance with very luxurious features for this market segment. Prior to purchase I looked at 3series, A4 3.0 Qttro, Passat GLX, and Volvo S60. All with AWD, all similar price range. But none came close to performance of the G35 (except the 330 which cost thousands more). More importantly, the complaints made about the 04 model have been addressed in the 05! Steering wheel controls now illuminate, horsepower is up to 280, and the steering wheel telescope is now power operated with memory seat. If you want a head-turning sport sedan with AWD for around $35k (includes premium package)...check out this car!

qx56 suv - 2005 Infiniti QX56
By miaschele - August 15 - 10:13 amWanted to downsize, had 4 surburbans and was leary of change. Love this car, ride is the smoothest, interior is spacious and so fun to drive.I drove all the other luxury SUVs and this car is my favorite by far and fairly priced compared to others. The lack of cargo space is hard to get use to but that is part of downsizing.

The Obvious Choice - 2002 Infiniti I35
By tech pooh-bah - August 15 - 10:00 amWe have had the car for 5 months(6500 miles) and everything is perfect with the vehicle- fit and finish, drivetrain. Love the performance, confortable seats for long distance driving. This car is clearly the obvious choice in the entry luxury sedan segment. Others test drove/considered: Acura TL Type S (smaller interior-head room), BMW 330i (hyper-expensive compact car), Lexus ES- 300(more expensive, weak engine).

This one is a keeper - 2015 Infiniti QX60
By Linda Besserer - August 14 - 9:35 pmWe bought our QX60 2 months ago and have truly enjoyed this car. This is the perfect travel vehicle...very comfortable on our frequent 720 mile round trips to our second home. We really love this car after an accident on the interstate yesterday with an 18 wheeler. The tractor trailer lost control when the driver locked his brakes and he slid sideways into us at 60 MPH. My husband said the Infiniti was steady, rock solid and he was able to maintain control until we got away from the tractor trailer, and come to a safe stop. The whole right side of the QX60 will need to be replaced, but we are all OK. Love my QX60!

For Driving Enthusiast - 2006 Infiniti G35
By Jake - August 14 - 7:00 pm2006 A/T coupe. Purchased in 4/09 for $23K with 27K miles. Since its important to know what kind of person is writing the review: 24 years old, no kids, fresh out of college, girlfriend and no house payments. Also have a 95 Acura Integra 2dr. This car is perfect for anyone looking for an amazing sports car that is a great everyday driving vehicle. This thing handles and performs so well that I was able to keep up with two friends on sport bikes on a twisty back road. I researched cars for months trying to find something that was what I wanted for a reasonable price. I looked in to the Audi, BMW 3 and Lexus IS 250. This car for the price won hands down.

Great Car - 2004 Infiniti G35
By TSSDORIC - August 12 - 10:00 amYou know the SAAB TV Commercial where their vehicle "sticks" (graphically) to the road? Well, the G35 is THAT CAR! She holds a cloverleaf exit at 60 mph if youre so inclined and accelerates when and if you need her to, emulating some of the greatest vehicles on the road today! The BOSE sound system provides superior sound reproduction and shes got an ease of in-cab control!
