Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

  • QX56 4x4 Excellent Full Size SUV - 2008 Infiniti QX56

Excellent full size SUV for a medium to large family that needs space and the ability to haul or tow weight. We pack a lot when we travel. We have been on icy roads, full snow storms, up to 1 foot of snowed in driveways, mud, dirt, rain... you name, we have done it with a load of 2 adults, 3 medium to large dogs, and one child. This car outperforms Ford Expeditions, GMC Yukon, Chevy Tahoes, and others in the areas of braking, handling and overall feel. With a full load, of around 800 lbs, we average about 15.2 mpg. Just in town around 14.5 and mostly freeway with no load around 16.5 going about 70 mph. Our 2007 Acura MDX with a full load averaged only 14.5 mpg. We use regular fuel 87.

This is one of the best handling cars I have ever had. The weight balance , front to rear is aerodynamic, transmission shifts smoothly and it has plenty of power.

Great car however there are some cheap plastic bits on the inside that dont belong in a car this price. Upgraded sound system is no more than adequate.

Beauty and brawn. What more can one ask for in a car? Low price, perhaps? Well look no further...the G35 has it all. After shopping all manufacturers in this class and the next, there is not a car that costs less than $45,000 that I would rather own.

This car is fun to drive. Does not lean on turns. Highly reliable. Solid feel and quality workmanship. A better car than Lexus 430 which I owned for four years and would not recomend.Ride and handling is similar to a Mercedes, which I also own.

Absolutely love this car! I have the Blue slate with grey interior and 18s. From the exterior styling and color, to the interior gauges and design, to the 306 hp engine...this car has it all!! Ive never felt so exhilarated behind the wheel before.

  • Total luxury for a low price. - 2000 Infiniti I30

I just got my Infiniti 2 days ago, and the first time I was in it I knew that this car was apart from the rest. I used to have a Pontiac Grand Prix but then I got the Infiniti and I saw a big difference. The ride is compeletly different from the Pontiac. Its smooth quite, and luxurious. I just love the 3.0-liter 227-hp. V6 engine. Its so POWERFUL for a front-drive V6 sedan. As much as the car is powerful and luxurious, its also safe with dual front and side airbags and 4-wheel ABS. Other things that I love about this sedan is the power rear sunshade, sunroof, power drivers and passangers seat and the Bose audio system. This car is worth every penny.

I have been in the Automotive business for 20 years plus and was a former STS owner. This is my first Import due to the nature of my business. The G-35 is a great Car.From the straight forwardness of the dealership to the vehicle itself. The interior controls are all common sense (Domestic Mfgs take Note!)as well as the comfort, fit and finish.I love to go anywhere with this car!The ride and handling is subperb and anyone looking for a class act try a G-35. Well Done Infinity!!!

Great car with luxury features at resonable rates. The sports package drives tight and responsive. The seat belt is alittle tight across the shoulder but is the only complaint I can find. The new lakeshore blue is outstanding with the larger wheels and tires.
