Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Love this Car - 2004 Infiniti G35
By justdad - July 15 - 2:00 amI have had my g35 sedan for 8 weeks now. I took it on one trip so far. What a pleasure to drive and it was very comfortable for the 3 of us. I took the same trip 6 months earlier in my Moms 2001 es300 and it did not compare, not even close. We went to Laughlin both times and my mom tends to get car sick. She did not even know that we had gone through the hilly part till I told her this time. The ride was more than pleasent and the shifting with the auto trans cvt you could not even feel even when I used some of its 260 horsepower.

Great Car - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Nakos2000 - July 14 - 7:43 amI finally did it! I bought a 2005 G35 sedan! I am very happy with this car. Much better driver than 2006 IS, Acura TL, and more power than BMW engines. Build quality feels great and updated exterior styling for 2005 is very well done. Regret not getting the navigation, but I got a great deal on this vehicle and I love to drive it!

G20 Sport - nice little car! - 2002 Infiniti G20
By JKWright - July 10 - 10:00 amWe bought a silver 02 Sport model with the 5-speed transmission for my wife. Its been a flawlessly reliable, good-looking, fun-to-drive little car. I owned a 91 Nissan Sentra SE-R for 10 years, a car that had the same SR20DE engine in the G20. That engine was the number one reason we looked into the G. Its that good: easy to rev, torquey down, not too buzzy, sips fuel and breathes well all the way to redline. The suedelike perforated inserts in the Sport package really dress up the interior along with the titanium- colored accents. The 16" wheels from the European Primera are a massive step up in appearance from the stock dinky wheels rounded with skinny rubber.

Inexpensive Exotic - 2008 Infiniti G37
By diznum - July 10 - 3:56 amI bought this car to replace my G35 Coupe, that car was totaled. This car rides sooo much better, the old car had the sport suspension and all of the bells and whistles as does the G37, I ordered a fully optioned G37 Journey with all of the packages. I checked the Beemers and was not impressed at all, their dealer experience leaves much desired. Also considered the Subaru WRX Sti, too much $$ for a souped up econobox. Ive only put about 3600 miles on her, but every time I take it out I love the car more and more. The remark about the rear seat being cramped is wrong except for maybe head room. Overall fantastic car that looks more exotic and expensive than it really is!

Oh what a Joy - 2004 Infiniti G35
By RFmaster - July 8 - 10:53 pmTest drove 330is, GS430, and TL. G35 sedan had the most interior room for me (6’1”). Best deal in town – under invoice and 1.9% financing for 36month. Wonderful drive quality, very comfortable, torque is ample and available at any speed. Cornering is excellent for a larger car. Great BOSE stereo and all safety options. Dealer was just itching to get cars out of the lot. No gas mileage figures yet – still breaking in that 3.5 L engine. Great overall value.

Love This Car - 2009 Infiniti G37
By RLB - July 8 - 4:16 amWhat a fun car. Sexy lines, smooth and powerful. Got Pacific Sky with Stone. Base, prem, navi, chrome sport package wheels, rear deflector. Researched for a year, waiting on latest models. For us the Infiniti beat out the BMWs, Lexus was no comparison, 370Z, and MB. Also, really wanted a hard top for all weather and noise reduction. Have had trouble with the seat belts getting caught by the door but unbuckled them from the leather strap on the seat to let them retrac all the way. Pain reaching back for it but better. Planning a 2k mile trip first of Spring, cant wait to pop the top and go.

Honest Review!!!!!!! - 2013 Infiniti JX
By legit_reviewer - July 7 - 4:11 amIm writing a review for the 1st time because I was so annoyed by the so called "Expert Reviewers" about the JX35..They seem to know it all after only test driving the car for few minutes..I also wonder if these experts have little kids to be able to relate why this vehicle is designed for its specific purpose..Why I think my review is more meaningful?? Because I owned many cars (usually 3 to 4 at a time) and I change cars yearly (yeah call it crazy!)..I am only going to talk about the luxury SUV/CUV here bacause the JX is in that category..SUV/CUV I owned were; Lex RX 330, Volvo XC90, Land Rover LR4, Infiniti FX35, Merc Benz ML320, and Lex GX470..No to MDX, X5, n Q7 due to stiff suspension.
