Not a disappointment - 1998 Infiniti I30
By Todd Thomas - October 30 - 4:16 amWe have owned this car for over 8 years with minimal repairs (less than $1500 in that eight years). It now has over 250K miles and we drive it every day with no serious issues. Of course it is showing the wear of the years/miles, but still a very dependable car.

Solid Car - 2000 Infiniti I30
By Adam - September 12 - 7:36 pmOver all a very good experience. Good power, smooth acceleration, good looks in and out. Minor problems- dash lights go in and out, light in dash clock out all together, and mass airflow meter has gone out 2 times (first time to fix was about $600, the second time dealer took care of). These minor problems have been recent( at 115k miles +).

Reliable I30t - 1998 Infiniti I30
By Talk_Dollars - August 19 - 10:53 amThis was my first Nissan after owning three Toyotas. I have had the same wonderful experience with quality as I did with the toyotas. Now 7 years old and 125K miles - this car has had not one problem except with the initial battery which was replaced by Infiniti with apologies. I will definately consider another Infiniti - now if I can save enough for the M45.

Great car for the money - 2000 Infiniti I30
By larry - August 11 - 5:13 amBought this car with 77k miles. Up until 97k there wasnt a problem. At 98k I needed all new wheel bearings, radiator was leaking, trans. Is leaking. Did tun up and air filter. With discounts from mechanic friend, I spent $800. Now, at 108k I notice a little slip in the trans. Between 1st and 2nd.

A perfect 10 (almost) !! - 1999 Infiniti I30
By paish - August 7 - 10:00 amI bought my i30t a little over 3 months back with 52K miles on it. After 3 months and another 4K miles, I am still in awe with it! The engine is silky smooth with a great acceleration. I think its the great torque that lets the car cruise at 65mph with less than 2500 rpm on the Tachometer. All in all its been a great car with just enough pep and just enough class and just enough style for me to fall in love with it...nothing over done, nothing left out (except for a few inches for my legs)

SOLID! - 2000 Infiniti I30
By Firechuckh - July 23 - 3:50 amInfiniti has a new customer for life. As long as they keep putting out great performers. One issue with check engine light (computer reprogram) the dealer took care of free of charge. Keep the premium fuel in, theres only a few cents diffrence and you avoid the pinging as posted earlier. This car is great for the family. I cant wait to buy my G35X!

My Baby - 1998 Infiniti I30
By BlackI30boi98 - July 15 - 2:00 amI bought my Infiniti in September 03, and it has been great. I commute 60 plus miles daily and needed a reliable, quiet car. Im typically running late in the mornings, and the I30 does a wonderful job of getting me to work on time. Currently there is about 80k miles and have had absolutely no problems. The 3.0 V6 is a masterpiece, super smooth, wide powerband. For being such a big car it is very light(approx. 3100 Ibs). Standard Bose audio system is better than most factory audio systems. Sounds great even without a subwoofer.

A reliable old thoroughbred - 1998 Infiniti I30
By bea50 - June 15 - 9:26 amBought this car new 11 years ago - specially made in Japan with 5-speed manual trans. Was about $14k less than the BMW 5-series, but comparably equipped and with better performance stats. Light, nimble, precise. I have truly loved this car: great fun to drive and unbelievably reliable. At 85,000 miles, not a single major repair. Just the usual stuff, muffler, brakes, clutch, alignment.

Nice car, but bad reliability. - 2000 Infiniti I30
By BP - April 21 - 6:56 pmI bought this car about a year ago with 45k miles on it and have had problems ever since. Upon purchase I had to replace the belts (which is to be expected for a 7 year old car). What I didnt expect was the catalytic converter to fail (which Infiniti covers up to 80k miles), the A/C compressor to fail, all 6 coils needed to be replaced, the muffler was banging the bottom of the car and the CD player stopped working. At this point, about $2500 has been spent on repairs. Luckily we bought an extended warranty. My other car is a Nissan Altima and I really like it. But, I doubt Ill be buying another Infiniti.
