Garchs i30t - 1998 Infiniti I30
By garch - April 7 - 10:00 amIve had the i30t for 4 years and I love it. Two warranty items were a smelly sunshade (whale glue) and a poorly charged battery both replaced free of charge. The battery issue was found and corrected during routine maintenance. I get nearly 30mpg highway and 22 city. Id like to get a new infiniti, but I love this one too much!

Its not made of plastic! - 2001 Infiniti I30
By Irene Bradway - March 30 - 8:36 pmThis was my first "luxury" car since the 80s. After raising my kids, I wanted a car that I could drive for hours without feeling cramped. I love it. Lots of bells and whistles, but I bought it because of its reliability rating with Consumer Reports. And it has proven incredibly reliable, including when I accidentally run over curbs!

2nd time buyer - 1999 Infiniti I30
By StevL - March 29 - 10:00 amI have now owned two I30s and neither one has had any problem at all. The first had 95,000 miles when I traded it and this one has 115,000 and is going to be traded soon. What will I buy? I have already decided.. a G35 :) Im an Inifiniti customer until they let me down.

2001 I-30 Outstanding Reliability and Value - 2001 Infiniti I30
By lynnj - March 28 - 11:37 pmPurchased new 2001. After some O2 and Mass Airflow sensor failures during 60K warranty period, no repairs until 148,000 miles (starter) and 160K m (radiator). Now at 178Km and car drives like it has 50K on it. I could not be happier with it. My 21 yr old son wants me to replace it (with G37) and retire the I30 to him! This car has been a 10+ on a 10 point scale.

Alright - 2000 Infiniti I30
By YARNELLF - March 28 - 2:56 pmMy fiancee and i just purchased this vehicle and i have to say that this was a very wise purchase for the both of us. We are both full time students with a 4 year old daughter, so reliability was our biggest concern. It handles very well and the comfort is mind twisting. My only dislike was that the body style could have been a little bit wider for my liking but it will due for the meantime.

Engineers - Listen UP! - 2000 Infiniti I30
By tustintony - March 27 - 10:00 amI would consider this vehicle Very Good to Excellent. It is roomy, handles as good as other cars I have owned. But, although there are a number of creature comforts, I believe that the engineers who design the Infinitis dont ever own or ride in them.

Excellent Car - 2001 Infiniti I30
By Excellent Car - March 11 - 2:50 pmI purchased this car about 3 1/2 years ago with 14k on it. I have only had to do routine maintenance on it. Great fuel economy because of regular maintenance. I currently have 94,000 miles on the car and it still runs like new. This car drives like sports car and still seats 4 adults comfortably.

Great for a while - 2000 Infiniti I30
By Darrell - March 9 - 6:36 amI bought the car used with 30k miles and had no problems until I reached 55k and the drivers electric seat stopped working. At 70k the ignition coils went out and at 90k the starter had to be replaced. I looked on some blogs and found all of these to be common problems. I see that at 100K I should expect all my instrumentation lights to go out and the check engine light to keep coming on. I have spent over $3500 in repairs so Im now looking to buy a new car that will be under a warranty. I cant afford to keep paying for costly repairs on a once great car.

happiness is - 1998 Infiniti I30
By i30tgreatinbham,al - January 17 - 12:56 amI30t with 85000 miles...no bad experiences. will agree with hard transmission shifting at times... but has the get up and go, maintenance costs overall not much more than other used vehicles. Also happy with gas mileage, do not plan to get rid of soon... ps... car is very quiet in my opinion... happy in birmingham...

You will spend, oh yes. - 2000 Infiniti I30
By j - December 22 - 8:43 pmTraded in an older Camry for the Infiniti because my wife thought it was "ugly." However in 4 years I spent less on that car then Ive spent in the past 9 months on the I30. Had it checked out before we bought it, all systems were a go. However within 2 months the alternator went out. Shortly after that the car started misfiring, and it started running poorly and jerking when at a stop light. Had the engine coils replaced along with the spark plugs and a full maintenance check + fluids flush. Also have had to replace both rear and front brakes. So 9 months and at least $3,000 later, hopefully we are done for awhile with spending money on it.
