  • First Hyundai - 2004 Hyundai XG350

First impression--a lot of car for the money especially with big dealer discount and factory rebate. Engine more noisy than 18 year old straight six in previously owned Toyota, which was virtually silent. Reported transmission problem of "hunting" not a noticeable flaw --reluctance to shift into 5th gear under 40mph the only objection I had. Excellent "shiftronic" mode. In my opinion, styling rates high. Unlike many imports it doesnt have that "wax meltdown" look but relies on classic lines as do many luxury cars--Lincoln LS Mercedes, many BMWs,Jaguar.

Traded in a 2002 Buick LeSabre for this car. Drove it 700 miles with no problems and found it very comfortable. Great Long distance car. Was not fatigued after 10 hours. Got a great deal from Harrelson Hyundai in Charlotte NC, They still have 4 new 2005s on the lot. Test 2006 Sonata, 2006 Accord, sat in the 2006 G6, Lacrosse, Lucerne and Ford 500 and the 2007 Camry. We liked the XG350 best. Easy to to drive, Controls logically laid out and more features than the others at a lower price. We even lowered our monthly payment $125.

  • Better than a Honda - 2002 Hyundai XG350

I cant beleive the editors rating is so low! This car is a dream to drive. It is very responsive unlike the sluggish Honda I used to drive. It is roomy and VERY comfortable. I also really enjoy the fact that the options available on cars like Lexus, Camry and Lincoln come standard on the XG350.

  • Dont let the name fool you! - 2004 Hyundai XG350

We purchased this car in September of 2003 when it just came out and have been completely thrilled with it. All our friends drive Mercedes but we feel so proud of our car because we paid so much less than they did. For those of who you hesitate to buy this car because its a Hyundai - dont! Youll feel good knowing you purchased a luxary car for the best price.

  • Like a jag 1/2 the price - 2003 Hyundai XG350

After 1 month I still think I got a luxury car for 1/2 the price. From the inside you cannot tell the difference from an Audi A6 or a new Jag. Drove it for 800 miles criss crossing Colorado including nearly a dozen 10,000+ foot mountain passes in 2 days. No snags except the window washer failed to work. Decent handling, great engine power,so- so gas mileage (avg.23 mpgs), and a comfortable leather and woodgrain interior.

I love the power. It is fun to drive. You get excellent value for your money. If you are getting a 350 go for the L.

  • XG350L - 2004 Hyundai XG350

I purchased my first ever Hyundai in 2001. It was an XG300L. After test driving the vehicle, I found that it had a lot of the quaities and performance that I was acustomed to. Being the previous owner of a Cadilac Eldorado and a Coup De Ville. The XG300 was a superise in the handling and interior design which was very much fashionablle. The ride was most impressive, and the handling of the vehicle was a surprise. I recently purchased a 2004 XG350L. The change of the engine to a 3.5lt. increased the HP/and the torque in the vehicle. It was FAST. I now own the XG350L.
