  • Great SUV - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

We purchased a used 2011 Tucson GL with a 5 speed manual. Very happy. Love the small turning radius. Getting 25-29 mpg in a mix of about 75/25 city/highway driving. Happy with the gas mileage. Lots of room for what we need. Handles well. It has adequate power.

  • Great car, I would buy it again. - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

My wife and I bought this as our very first new car together. We bought the AWD as we live in Michigan and winters can be a bit hectic sometimes. In town we average around 22 mpg. Not bad, but highway is anywhere from 26-34 mpg, depending on how heavy your foot is. When we cruise at 55-65 mph is where we really get between 32-34 mpg. Other than that, it relatively good in the snow and there is plenty of fold down cargo space. If you utilize the trunk, you may be disappointed as there is not much trunk space. Overall its a great car, 13k on it and not a problem. Ill wait till it hits 60,000 before writing another review.

  • Great Small SUV / Crossover - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

I have approx. 43,000 miles on my 2011 Hyundai Tucson Limited with auto geartronic trans. It has the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. I average 22 MPG combo driving, city/highway. No engine or transmission problems. Its a great small versatile suv/crossover vehicle for those that dont constantly haul large loads, carry five passengers, or tow. The built-in navigational system/stereo is great.

  • Loud Ride - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

I am extremely disappointed with my purchase. I traded in a great Veracruz to get better gas mileage and have better interior features. The car inside is fine but the road noise on the highway is overwhelming. I drive 25 miles each way to work, all highway, and am so disappointed with the noise. I actually had the car checked for mechanical problems and found it was the tire noise. The tires they chose for the 18" wheels are so sub par and not inline with a Limited model. The gas mileage is also no where near 30.

  • Stiff - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

Dont expect to ride cloud 9. My GLS will make running over a mouse feel like a speed bump! Suspension is VERY stiff...and so is the handling...will turn on the blink of an eye. Heating system is so-so. Comfortable for smaller people but as Im a BIG man, the seats are not built for me. AWD helps in the rain and snow here, which is the major reason I purchased the car.

  • Gas mileage not what manufacter claims - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

If I could do it over I would have held out for gmc terain, same price more horse power and better fuel economy. Also the Hyundai sheet metal is very thin and dents easy, I am trying to find side molding to put on to keep from getting door dinged. The paint on the limited seems poor quality, look close and you can see the flex in the sheet metal because of the thin layer of paint that chips easy. Hyundai still needs work. Design it is cool little SUV drive and handles good. More power and better fuel economy. My old Malibu maxx was a 2006 and got way better gas mileage with a 3.5 v6. At 215 hp.

  • Value for Money - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought a diamond silver Tucson 2011 about two weeks ago, trading in a Toyota Corolla 2002. The first few days I really had to get used to the Tucson. Wasnt sure about the ride, the design and the color, coming from driving a sedan. But now I really like the car. Unfortunately, the mileage is not as expected and I miss several storage pockets. But certainly looking forward to the heated seats and mirrors for winter.

  • Love my new Tucson - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

I love my Tucson. I is very comfortable, have many features, very easy to control the Ipod, radio, etc The gas mileage is not as good as I expected, 22 MPG average and I mostly drive on the highway.

  • ongoing CD troubles 2011 Tucson - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

We purchased our 2011 Tucson brand new, top of the line, all bells and whistles. It is a great little car and we like almost everything about it...but one problem is driving us nuts! CD player makes a cracking/scratching sound at various intervals of use. We like to listen to audio books but anywhere 20-30 minutes into listening the CD starts making noises. We turn it off and can turn it on to use again after 5-10 minutes until it happens again. This is so disruptive. Hyudai has addressed it by supposedly replacing it 3 different times...each time we continue to have same problem. Our CDs are new, never used.

  • Tucson 2011 MPG - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

Hyundai advertises on TV that the 2011 Tucson gets 30 mpg. My experience for the first 2000 miles is 21.9 mpg. Most of the driving is highway and short trips (5 miles) to town.
