Overview & Reviews
The Hyundai Santa Fe has been redesigned for the 2007 model year. Compared to last year's model, the new Santa Fe is larger, safer, more powerful and more luxurious.
- Upscale interior with high-quality materials, competitive price, long warranty, many standard safety features, optional third-row seat.
- Overly firm ride on SE and Limited trims, automatic transmission sometimes slow to respond, unimpressive brakes.

Best SUV in its class - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By parkone - July 9 - 7:36 ami cant believe that hyundai has built such a great vehicle - its not the same as the 1998 that my sister owns. it was 4000 less than a comparable honda and toyota with more features and warranty.

Outstanding value - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By maniar - July 6 - 2:00 amTest drove a Acura RDX, Honda Pilot, Toyota Rav4 and Hyundai Santa Fe. Settled on the Santa Fe and we are extremely happy with our choice. Suspension is awesome: much better than the RDX, Pilot and Rav4 that we test drove. Interior build quality is excellent. Dashboard layout is functional. No road noise on the highway. Vehicle has about 4500 miles on it and so far there have been no problems.

transmission failure at 9 years - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By jasmine - May 22 - 11:49 pmtransmission failed less than 10 year. Had to replace it for $3500. It has 130k mileage now, with a market value slightly higher than the cost. Hunydai custom service does not care.

A fantastic makeover! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By tom mielczarek - April 29 - 9:46 amFound that we needed a vehicle to replace our aging mini-van, and since we live where it does snow, wanted something with either all wheel or 4 wheel drive. Compared a Honda CR-V and the RAV4 with the Hyundai Santa Fe. It ended up being no contest! The Hyundai in the SE trim level is loaded with safety/convience/comfort items. We also qualified for special financing, which clinched the deal. The redesign of the Santa Fe has created a beautiful looking vehicle both inside and out. I had a guy think it was a Lexus! And if youre considering a SUV check out the Santa Fe, especially in the Dark Cherry Red (which is what we got), its stunning.

My Second Santa Fe - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By vegasangel - April 19 - 7:07 amThis is my Second Santa Fe, having owned a 2003 previously. Overall, this is a great vehicle, having really no major issues over the past almost 5 years. Dont know if Ill own another one due to the overall cost of owning the newer models, but Id recommend this vehicle to anybody. I get questions about it all of the time. Im very happy with this vehicle.

2007 Santa Fe - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Paul - April 4 - 6:43 amOnly owm the car for 2 weeks and love it. Was not looking for a Hyundai until I spotted it on the dealers lot. Once I drove it, I had to own it. Got a great deal and so far am happy with the purchase, a lot of classy vehicle for the money. Love the performance, ride, and interior. Great leather seats.

the first 2000 miles - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By chilidog - March 27 - 1:46 pmAfter 3 weeks I think this vehicle is terrific. Not a single complaint - it has plenty of pep, good looking, quality touches (small body gaps, plastics look good, refined dash panel, smooth lines), very quiet, high safety ratings, unbeatable value. The new design caught my eye. I approached skeptically as previous version was rough and noisy, but I was completely turned around after a test and research. Hwy mileage 25-27mpg (driving 75mph vs 55), and 17 in city traffic of Washington DC. About what I expected. This car is a keeper. Very comfortable city-hauler. My other car, which I bought new and still own after 16 years is a Lexus LS 400. Lexus, Hyundai is coming. No joke.

Not a Highway Vehicle - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By three ms - March 14 - 5:53 amWe bought the Limited with all the extras. Interior quite nice with leather, but after a 2000 mile trip a bit disappointing. Read all the reviews beforehand.....comfort for driver is good (power seat) but front passenger is lousy. Seats too short, power seat not available. Picking up road noise already and bumpier ride than expected. Cabin a bit small for front passenger afer a few hours and seats too short to rest legs, cant adjust seat enough to compensate. Did not expect comfort to disappear so quickly. It is definitely a lightweight in windy conditions also. Very disappointed.
