This Year's Model Updates:

The Hyundai Santa Fe has been redesigned for the 2007 model year. Compared to last year's model, the new Santa Fe is larger, safer, more powerful and more luxurious.

Pros:
  • Upscale interior with high-quality materials, competitive price, long warranty, many standard safety features, optional third-row seat.
Cons:
  • Overly firm ride on SE and Limited trims, automatic transmission sometimes slow to respond, unimpressive brakes.

  • Pleased with 07 Santa Fe - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have only had my Santa Fe for a month, but so far, so good. I was a little worried about getting a Hyundai until I test drove this SUV. Hyundai has redesigned the body style and finally, it doesnt look like a cheap rounded SUV. You cant beat the value either. I was orginally looking at the Honda CR-V but the prices are so high for a smaller SUV. The Santa Fe drives very smooth like a luxury car and is easy to handle. This is my first SUV, going from driving a small two door car. The Santa Fe has made the transition an easy one.It is great that things such as XM radio come standard with this SUV.

So far so good. Compared to Rav-4, but felt the Santa Fe had better ride and more room for less money. Own a CR-V, but dont like the new styling of the CR-V. Hope the reliability is good, but the quality of construction seems excellent and the ride/handling are very good.

  • Review of my Santa Fe SE 3.3 - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

The Santa Fe SE 3.3 is an outstanding value. Lots of pep, strong engine and transmissions is excellent. Road noise is minimal, and wind noise is minimal. I love this SUV, just the right size, and good comfort, plus all the safety conveniences such as side and front airbags, stability control etc.

  • So what gives with the gas mileage? - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Purchased car used with 17K miles from dealer. Reading was 20.1 mpg, drove it home and mpg began to drop immediately. Went as low as 12.8 but then had problem with 02 sensor. Dealer said that mileage would improve after replacement. It got a little better, now back up to 15.1, city.On trips to Tahoe the best mpg was 18. Overall, I like the car but given the times, one cant make buying decisions on cars w/o taking mpg into account. I would never have bought this car if Id known what the true mileage would be. I think that all of the disclaimers given by both the dealers and the feds are outrageous. A consumer should be entitled to minimal expectations for such a critical feature.

  • Hyundai Turns Out A Winner - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

The restyling of the vehicle is just the beginning of how incredible this vehicle is. Its very nice on the outside and (the Limited trim) comes with all the options a driver would really need for comfort, sophistication, pleasure and fun. The standard safety features (Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System, ABS, air bags all around, Tire Pressure Monitoring System) are included in each level trim unlike other manufacturers who will often charge extra for such safety features. There are too many other standard features to list and any consumer would be surprised to see what the list is comprised of (available on the hyundaiusa.com website). Worth a look if not a purchase.

  • Great Value... but -- - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Im not sure about long trips due to the seats. Theyre nice with the heated leather, but you can feel the short bottoms/lack of thigh support. It doesnt seem like much until you make a long drive and you go numb! Cool how the rear seats have adjustable recline, though. Nice storage section under rear cargo area. Excellent ride quietness. You can have a regular conversation in this thing w/o raising your voice! Traded in an Elantra GT, so Im used to the blue dash lighting. The projector type headlights make for an "upscale" feel.

  • Best Value for the Dollar - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I picked up the FWD drive version of this great car after looking at the Saturn VUE and Toyota RAV4. For all the standard features the other two couldnt compare. The VUE didnt have most of the saftety features available, and while the RAV4 did the price was substantially more. Even though we live in a snow-belt area, weve always been happy with our FWD sedan so we stuck with the FWD for our CUV mostly to save on fuel. The snow has fallen and, despite my best efforts, I cant get the FWD to do any sliding or slippping - and thats with the stock All-Seasons! Overall - this car is an excellent value for the money!

  • The new hyundai - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

This is a beautiful vehicle inside and out. The fit and trim inside is very good and the leather quality is awesome. If Hyundai can get people to take a test drive, they will have no problem selling as many as they can make-Drive it and you will buy it!

  • One year of ownership - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Weve owned the Santa Fe for just over a year. We have had ZERO issues. Very happy overall with this vehicle. I was a little concerned when we bought the vehicle, as we had always owned Toyotas/Hondas. If youre contemplating a Santa Fe, I would highly recommend this vehicle.
