This Year's Model Updates:

The Hyundai Santa Fe has been redesigned for the 2007 model year. Compared to last year's model, the new Santa Fe is larger, safer, more powerful and more luxurious.

Pros:
  • Upscale interior with high-quality materials, competitive price, long warranty, many standard safety features, optional third-row seat.
Cons:
  • Overly firm ride on SE and Limited trims, automatic transmission sometimes slow to respond, unimpressive brakes.

  • Great Vehicle*** Few Small Issues - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I am very happy with my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. I do wish I had waited until it had been out longer so I could have gotten the included XM radio and so my husband could have gotten automatic map lights (the lack of which drives him crazy; me, not so much). I have noticed that the wind noise is greatly increased since my test drive, otherwise the ride is great. Also, the leather seats are too hard for most people. My hubby hates them and even my 11-year-old little sister commented on them as soon as she got in the vehicle. However, when you drive the vehicle everyday, the seats are fine. Just depends on what youre used to.

My Dodge Dakota Lease expired so I looked for another truck-like vehicle with a 6 cyl. vs. an 8. After all the research my wife and I bought the fully loaded Limited. So far we have c.4000 mi. and have really enjoyed this. We have traveled to OKC and San Antonio since Dec. 20 and commute about 70 mi.RT. The rear seat entertainment with the Infinity sound system is worth it. If I have to drive this is the way to go. The power is more than adequate (too many tickets anyway) and I can haul lots of stuff and/or passengers. I drive about 5 to 10 over the limit but sometimes look down and Im doing 90. My point is Im getting about 21mpg and thats not bad for a rating of 20-24mpg.

We like the handling of the vehicle, the MPH with mixed driving is anywhere from 22 mph to 26.7 mph, it drives through heavy snow very well. We love the third seat (we have a seven year old and friends). The heated seats are excellent, better than our Lexus! Storage for this and that is great.

  • I Love My Santa Fe - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Honestly, i was iffy about getting a hyundai at first, but it seems they have improved a lot over the years. I just bought my Sante Fe this afternoon, and its great! I love the interior!! I was comparing it to my friends 07 Infiniti G35. All I know is I love my interior better!! Love the heated seats, dashboard light dimmers, and all that space in the trunk. Not to mention how smooth it drives. I was lucky enough to get my Limited Edition for a very good price. All I can say is that Im extremely satisfied... for now atleast! Let me drive it around for another year or so and Ill be back with more info.

  • POOR MILEAGE - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

not as quiet as i thought it would be,but acceptable. ride is kind of choppy. very poor fuel mileage, overall about 16-17 mpg, around 17-18 mpg on hwy using cruise control. trip computer only estimates fuel mileage at time of reading, not actual overall mileage. my opinion is spend the extra money & buy the honda.

I am leasing this vehicle and may buy it at lease-end. I have had no problems with it at all and no squeaks as some have complained of. I consistently get close to 18 MPG in the city and 22-25 on the highway. The Santa Fe feels very secure and with most SUVs, you get a nice commanding view of the road. The 2.7 engine can be a little sluggish - Id rather have the 3.3 engine.

  • 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe - Great Value - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

My wife and I spent 2-3 months researching the purchase of a new vehicle to replace our worn-out Dodge Caravan minivan. Final decision came down to the Santa Fe and Toyota Rav4. The Santa Fe won primarily on the greater "bang for our buck", the Rav4 interior felt cheap compared to the Santa Fe. The Santa Fe has more than adequate power. The ride is smooth and quiet. The interior is well thought out and comfortable. The exterior styling is attractive, but not "over- done". This vehicle is a pleasure to drive. I will have to see how reliability will be over time, but Hyundais great warranty helps with piece of mind in that area.

  • Love the Santa Fe - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Have had the Santa Fe for about a month. Love the way it drives. Wish my wife would let me drive it more often.

  • Hyundai youve come a long way - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Overall Id say the car is definitely a winner. The only mechanical work Ive had done in over 10 years of ownership, brakes, oil changes, O2 sensor, fuel gauge. Interior quality is its biggest drawback. Both visors broke for no apparent reason. The rear seat fold down has a design flaw, when you set the seat back, theres a good chance you end up with crinkled carpet, and both rear map pockets are gone. If those things are still intact, consider yourself lucky. Id buy it again 10 times over.

  • I Love it! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have owned my Santa Fe for 3 weeks. I have always been a Ford owner, but this car made me say WOW! Solid Build, quiet ride, fuel economy exactly was the sticker claims, extremely fun to drive. I thought I would never buy a foreign vehicle, but I am sold!
