  • Great starter car for a new family - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

This car is great good gas milage for a small SUV and good amount of power compared to its competitors. I have 2 small children and they have plenty of room. I have had it for over 2 years and I have never had one problem nor heard of anyone that has had a problem. You cant beat it in its class for the price you get a lot more then what you pay for which is a rareity these days

I have to say that I love this car. It runs great, very quiet ride, and I can tow a boat and my jet skis with no problem. Plenty of room for the two kids and the dog in the back, even with luggage!

  • Complete surprise - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

Never wanted a SUV. Wife saw the Santa Fe and said it was a nice looking car. Went to the dealer and after driving it, was impressed with the comfort, ride, and quality, not to mention the warranty. Bought it on the spot to replace my station wagon. Both of us are extremely satisfied after 8000 miles. Dealer is great.

After 1,500 miles, Im very satisified with my Santa Fe. I opted for the FWD, not the AWD - I didnt see the need for AWD in eastern PA (Snow?-Yes, but so what?). The Santy is quite peppy and responsive.

I really like this car. Its just the right size, but high enough so I dont feel like Im going to get run over by big trucks. Lots of great standard features. Rides beautifully.

We are happy owners of our new Santa Fe! At 1000 miles, the ride is great, the seating and roominess of the vehicle is fantastic, sun roof helps quite a bit with ventilation(Im a smoker) the combo cd & cassette is wonderful, The vehicle is smooth riding and peppy. We averaged 26 mpg (mostly highway). Its stylish and fun to drive. We did comparisons of other SUVs and based on ride, fuel efficiency, this one came in first.

  • Good SUV for the price - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

Purchased new in 2003 for wife to drive to work, family use on weekend. Has made several 2,000 mile round-trips from WI to Denver CO through winter snow without incident. Daily commute is about 15 miles round-trip. Reliable car, has only needed one unscheduled maintenance trip for malfunctioning rear diff computer setting (sounds more serious than it is). Our dog loves the cargo area, she sleeps contentedly in the sun on longer trips.

  • I Love My Hyundai - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

Ever since I saw the Santa Fe at the 2002 Chicago Auto Show, I wanted one. I just love the way it looks, small but sturdy. Some of the other small SUVs look like go garts, but the Santa Fe has substance. I drive about 55 miles a day and Im impressed with the gas mileage that I get. I get stopped all the time by people wanting to know how I like it. I have only had it a short time, but I hope it continues to perform the way it does now and I will have it for a very long time. Something that I cant say about the Grand Cherokee and Durango that I used to own.

  • Love my Santa Fe! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

JD Powers caused me to look seriously at a Hyundai and am I glad. I am one who loves the styling and my 5 year olds favorite game is to spot another Santa Fe. I dont need extra horsepower and I addressed my conservationist guilt with the 4 speed shift. I had forgotten how much fun a stick is to drive! Only one downside, I bought a less than one year old trade in. Great price, clean as a whistle, still new car smell, NO TRANSFER OF WARRANTY! Oh well...I really love this SUV.

  • Major repairs on used purchase - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I purchased this vehicle used a 1 1/2 yrs ago and had nothing but problems. Major cost to fix each problem. The front and rear catalytic converter had to be replaced as I could not get speed over 25 mph. On trip 2 hrs away from my home a month ago and the car just shut down on me. This past week belt which controls the a/c condenser and power steering just completely broke. Now I need a a/c condenser which is over $1000. NEVER will buy a Hyundai again.
