Excellent - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Toronto - April 6 - 10:00 am5-speed shifts well & engine is quiet and the interior is comfortable. Reviews from this website say the engine is underpowered, what are they comparing it to. Ive driven everything from a Saturn Vue (crappy, noisy&slower), Rav4 (solid, averagepower, abit pricey), and CRV (same power, comfortable, but ugly and overpriced). The car passes very well in the city/highway. Overall this is the best buy only options added was A/C & alarm. Having the split window open in the back is very convenient plus other people who own Japanese cars cant get over how good this SUV really is. Do yourself a favour and when test driving other SUVs try this one out too.

Hyundai of Escondido - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Frank1495 - March 26 - 2:00 am6000 miles and still no problems. Biggest issue is gas mileage which averages in the 19-20 mpg range. Way below the advertised economy rating.

Santa Fe - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By SJ - February 17 - 10:00 amThe Santa Fe has excllent handling and excellent acceleration. Although considered to be underpowered most rumors are based in fiction. The interior is much bigger than other SUV in its class.

I LOVE HYUNDAIS - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By ep - February 14 - 1:40 amThis is my 2nd Hyundai and I will never buy another another make of vehicle again. I have NEVER had one problem with my Santa Fe and never had a problem with the Elantra that I owned prior. The reliability cannot be matched by any american vehicle(Im sorry to say) The standard and safety features are great and so is the warranty. The SUV could be a little larger and the seats could be a little more comfortable too. I bought the automatic 4cyl. instead of the 6 cyl. because they get better gas mileage but I have noticed that sometimes it seems you really have to put the pedal to the medal to accelerate fast. But overall this is a wonderful SUV that I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

senior driver - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By winterpeg - January 16 - 2:00 amI have 8000 KL. on my S.Fe& love it, it makes my feel like I did in the 50s when I drove my MGB. Handles beautiful smooth ride, but this winter in snow & ice it proved its self. has go, had Toyota Previa AWD for 12 years pior and it would spin a lots more. I think it is because of the higher ratio for the 1st.speed & larger wheels plus it is lighter. Gas consumtion is fair, whsh the rear seats would fold flat.

My Santa Fe - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By nanday - January 6 - 10:00 amIt looks, drives and feels like a much more expensive SUV. Sound system is great. Nice, roomy cargo space with two ways to load, which I have found very useful. Would buy again.

WHATS THAT SMELL!? - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By CARGUY - January 6 - 10:00 amSANTA ANA HYUNDAI: DONT GO THERE. LYING CHEATERS. THEY DONT EVEN OFFER FIRST OIL CHANGE FREE LIKE MOST OTHER DEALERS. I AM SAD ABOUT THE NEW CAR SMELL, SMELLS MORE LIKE A DEAD CAT. I CAN HARDLY WAIT FOR THE PLASTIC DOOR HANDLES TO BREAK. AND WHAT IS THAT HESITATION BETWEEN REVERSE AND DRIVE?

Used 2003 GLS AWD 2.7L - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Sayer - December 19 - 2:00 amI bought the car three weeks ago. It was a lease trade-in with 16,000 miles on it and I absolutely love it. Its roomy and it went through the snow without a problem. I cannot stop telling people how great this car has been so far. My only issues: the back windshield wiper only wipes half of the window. I need to take it back to the dealer to have it fixed (under warranty), which is bothersome. Also the drivers side door lock paint is peeling in a small spot.
