Ive had my Santa Fe for 3 months now I love driving it. It runs well around town and on the Highway. I like being up higher than in my Camry but it still drives like a car!

  • Very happy with Hyundai - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

My wife and I have had our Santa Fe for almost 1 year now. I am glad to report that with 20,000 km on it we have had no issues. Im very impressed with the ride quality and fuel economy of our car. The interior fit and finish is excellent and the styling is a lot more interesting than most SUVs. The only complaint I have is the microscopic buttons on the stereo.

  • Hard to put down! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

I am finding it extremely diffucult to find anything really wrong with the Santa Fe. It is surprisingly built very solidly, and along with the warrenty package and price-made this vehicle very difficult to pass up. While some may complain about the lack of power @173HP, I honestly cannot see the complaint legitimately. Its handled everything I have asked from quick acceleration, to passing to top speed, it is more than adequate for an SUV owner. As for the styling? While it may not be for everyone, it has some inexplicable way of growing on you.

  • I love my sante fe - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

all I can say is I love my santa fe. Its great. It drives like a car. It feels like a car And most of all I look great in it.Moreover it feels like it was built just for me. Oh yea My wife loves it also. We also have a beautiful little girl name sami. she loves to hang her head out of the window. When I had my old car we had to beg her to get in. Now she almost knocks me down to get in our sant fe so she can go for a drive. some times she just gets in the santa fe and look at me saying lets go.

  • 28K brakes and bad engine sensors - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I experienced 2 bad "Check Engine" sensors and the brakes wore out prematurely at only 28K miles. The 10/100000 warranty is fine, but my local dealers are sub par so I had to take the vehicle to dealers that are further from home. One of these other dealers recognized the sensor failures and fixed them and recognized the brake problems. I got after market brake pads from another company because I didnt trust the Hyundai brake pads. It lacks power with the 2.7 liter V6 engine. The cobalt-blue paint has a high chip rate.

  • Happy Hyundai Santa Fe Owner - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

Its been almost 7 years & I still love my Santa Fe. Still handles smoothly & gets great mileage:21-23 mpg. So glad I went w/the AWD 3.5L engine. The maintenance schedule has been easy to follow. Only used the warranty once 3 yrs ago for a sticky exhaust valve that kept triggering the check engine light. It handles snowy & twisty mountain roads just as easily as commuter miles. Has been great for home depot trips, camping & road trips, skiing, & taking the dog out for a beach day. Passengers love the roominess & comfort of the backseat plus the great storage capacity in the cargo area. Bought softer tires for a quieter ride. Curious to see how well it holds up for the next 100K miles

  • It Fits! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I just love this four cylinder, monster eatin machine! It looks and drives like my old Monte Carlo, without all the weird looks, or the GM nametag. The five speed is crisp, clean and well planned, I drive nearly fifty miles one way, weigh over 320 lbs and it all fits comfortably! Even my frequent on the road lunches. Plus I love the fold out rear table that covers the spare tire, I can host small and intimate clientele luncheons and have room left over to take everyone with me! God I love this monster eatin machine, do yourself a favor, get off your butt and go buy one of these machines, itll be worth your while!

  • Best SUV Deal Going - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a stylish SUV available, and even more surprised to learn that it cost less than $20K! Its the quietest and smoothest-riding car weve had the pleasure to own. Our gas mileage has been between 25 and 30 MPG, which is phenomenal for SUVs. In short, were delighted, and we may well buy another Hyundai very soon.

  • Not Great in the Snow - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Drove the Santa Fe at the start of the East Coast Prez Day 2003 blizzard and in the aftermath. It was slipping and sliding in just a few inches of snow/slush. Had a lot of trouble going up small grades in the mess, too. I expected the Santa Fe to grab/grip the road better than it was doing. It just seemed to be skating along and not plowing through. I know, I know. I didnt get the All Wheel Drive version or a six-cylinder so I should be happy with what I have. My previous driving experience was with a 5-speed Protege and a 5-speed Camry. Anyway, maybe I had too high expectations for my familys "Blue Catfish on Wheels."
