This Year's Model Updates:

The Hyundai Santa Fe has been redesigned for the 2007 model year. Compared to last year's model, the new Santa Fe is larger, safer, more powerful and more luxurious.

Pros:
  • Upscale interior with high-quality materials, competitive price, long warranty, many standard safety features, optional third-row seat.
Cons:
  • Overly firm ride on SE and Limited trims, automatic transmission sometimes slow to respond, unimpressive brakes.

  • Superb Vehicle, Beautiful Design & Value - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Just bought this and it looks great from the outside. The inside is pretty good and I recommend the leather seats. The dash and the interior controls are very nice looking and extremely functional. The car drives very well with the larger engine and definitely handles well in passing.

  • We are IMPRESSED - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

The exterior design is eye-catching and attractive. The insrumentation is easy to learn and easy to read. The brakes feel good. All of the doors sound solid and secure when they are closed. It handles very nicely, and easier to park than our old Tahoe. Time will tell of the reliability.

  • Will not buy Hyundai again - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Driving is decent for an SUV along with the looks however I have owned my "first-time Hyundai" 2 months and it has been in the shop over half of that due to a sunroof issue. I am on my 5th sunroof and the problems are still not corrected. I contacted the consumer affairs department and received a case number and that is the last time I have heard from them. I have called to update information and have been told repeatedly that my case manager will be in touch and this has been going on for a month with still no contact. The sunroof still leaks and when open rattles to the point it sounds like the glass is going to brake. Now, I am again waiting for them to decide what to do. Horrible!

  • Santa Fe, Best Choice by far for us. - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Previously owned a Subaru Outback, then Mazda Tribute. Test drove Toyota RAV, Highlander, Honda Pilot and Mazda CX-7 and 9. The Santa Fe was by far the best vehicle for us and best value. Quiet comfortable cabin. Plenty of HP and smooth shifting. We were looking for a larger vehicle than the Tribute and though we would buy the Pilot but after comparing all, it was no contest, Santa Fe hands down. The size is right for us, the finish inside is outstanding with great controls, plenty of knee and leg room, firm but comfortable seats and a great driving position. Exterior styling has an "attitude." Getting 18 MPG around town and 23+ on a trip from Denver to Aspen and back.

  • Nice car - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I really like it. Doing a lot of driving, find this car almost exactly what I need. Despite this is the basic model it has enough for every day extensive driving (sometimes 1000 Km a day). Extra hidden storage in the trunk is amazing! What was a nice surprise for me it ‘s a gas consumption! According to specifications vehicle with manual transmission consumes more gas then automatic. This is NOT TRUE! Manual is very economical and not just has more power, but takes LESS gas. I found the WORSE city driving (heavy traffic and ac constant use) 11L/100Km and 7.5L/100Km on Highway. Excellent on ice and snow and it is not an AWD. This the only SUV of this size and price range which is availa

  • Road Noise - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Have had what I would call excessive road noise especially at highway speed. This problem continues even after wheel alignment check, which was negative and tire rotation. Bridgetone tires may be the culprit. A very minor issue is the front license plate screw holes are just part of the plastic grill area and now have stripped which will probably create a loose front license plate.

  • Great mid size SUV - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I was looking for a new SUV for my wife. We had a 2003 Honda CR-V EX that was great. We looked at the new CR-V and the Rav4. We then looked at the new Santa Fe. We really liked the exterior/interior design, V6 engine, interior space, ride, and price. The Santa Fe offers a lot more than the CR-V and the quality seems very good. Outside of the fuel difference between the 4 cyl CR-V and the 6 cyl Santa Fe, the Santa Fe is much better buy in my mind.
