This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Hyundai Elantra sedan is completely redesigned. Horsepower hasn't increased, but interior room and fuel economy have improved significantly. The five-door hatchback is out of the lineup for now but will return later in the model cycle.

Pros:
  • Smooth and secure ride, responsive handling, attractive cabin design, adult-friendly backseat, tight construction, all major safety features standard, low price, long warranty.
Cons:
  • Engine is noisy at mid-to-high rpm, a few low-grade interior plastics.

Believe it or not I traded in my Jaguar S-Type for this car, I was tired of the gas bills and when I researched the 10 "greenest" cars the Elantra was my choice. It rides great very sold feeling , the gas millage is great, and it actually feels alot bigger on the inside then my Jag did. So far im very impressed and happy with my purchase, hopefully more Americans will realize small more economical cars are the way of the future and you dont have to sacrafic comfort and quality.

I currently own a 2001 Hyundai Elantra which I am about to pass on to my 16- year-old daughter. The car has 130,000 miles and still runs great so when I wanted to purchase a new vehicle, there was no question that I wanted another Elantra. I went with the SE model this time. I am extremely pleased with how much the vehicle has changed (for the better) since 2001. I love the comfort of the cabin and the sporty look. I am definitely impressed with the horsepower as well. I look forward to driving this vehicle each day!

I absolutely love it. It has a lot of get up and go! The standard options are fantastic and so is the warranty. I love the sporty look and the way it handles.

In Sept we brought a 06 Elantra and were very happy with it, untill it was totaled a week ago. We were not injured ,much to the suprize of the local EMS people.I am now sold on Hyundai. Returned to same dealer and feel in love with a Black 07 SE. Lots of room ,great looks and a ton of standard features. Best of all got a great deal on the cars. Even with under a 100 miles on it already getting 30 mpg.

Have only owned it for a week, but it has exceeded my expectations so far. Great Interstate cruiser: quiet and comfortable. Build quality appears to be great, and gas mileage looks great so far.

  • A Well Kept Secret! - 2007 Hyundai Elantra

Looking for better gas mileage on our daily commute, we downsized from a 99 Lexus ES-300 to the Elantra, and we dont feel deprived at all. We test drove the Nissan Altima and Honda Accord and Civic, Subarus and also the Sonata, but we ended up buying the Elantra 4DR SE (with sunroof) because of the interior roominess, comfortable ride, excellent handling, braking and acceleration. Not to mention that all of the safety features are standard. Weve put 500 miles on the car in 2 weeks and are getting an average of 28 MPG or so in mixed city and HWY driving (at 65-70) with lots of hills. This car is a great value with a comfortable ride.

  • Hyundais Done it Again! - 2007 Hyundai Elantra

2,000 Miles into my daughters new 07 Elantra and Im very impressed. Hyundais done a really nice redesign on this vehicle. I wouldnt have considered its predecessor, but Im thrilled with the quality and value it represents. Not only does it get great gas mileage, but its a very solid car and loaded with features for the money. My choice was narrowed down to it and the Honda Civic LX. The Honda was very nice too, but for nearly $3000. less, the Elantra offered more features and a longer warranty. My parents were the first ones in the family to buy a Hyundai, the 06 Sonata. I was impressed with the quality and value of that car and believe Hyundai is getting the formula down.

  • Great car at a great price - 2007 Hyundai Elantra

The car has been great so far, it drives very smoothly, and the handling is great. Braking with this car feels very solid and controlled too, it doesnt dip much in the front. When the car idles, the engine is very quiet. The small dimensions of this car also makes manuvering in parking lots quite easy.
