The Elantra received a slight refresh for this year in the form of a new hood, deck lid, front and rear bumpers, grille, headlamps and taillights. Interior revisions include a redesigned instrument cluster, vents, center console and climate controls. The engine has been fitted with continuously variable valve timing, and it is now sold in SULEV or ULEV configurations (depending on the state in which it's purchased) which offer horsepower ratings of 138 and 132, respectively. The base GLS model now offers remote keyless entry as standard equipment, while GT models now have a Kenwood CD/MP3 audio system as standard.

By neerugulati - November 25 - 10:00 amgreat car for the price offered at dealerships. has a lot to offer when compared on standard features with other competitors that includes a powerful engine, power door and windows, safety and conveneint features. only problem is that when i go past 75mph, i start hearing noises from my front tyres.....feels like they rub with the wheel base or something...feels quite dangerous at that speed.

Most people dont believe it is a Hyundai. I really like driving this new Elantra. This car can really move out when it is necessary. I think Hyundai did a real good job with the 2004 model.

However, now I am very pleased that I chose it because of the outrageous fuel prices. It is the most economical vehicle for a college student. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

It is solid, classy, and top quality in every aspect, inside and out. It provides excellent handling and performance and gets 26.5 miles to the gallon day in and day out. It has a five year warrenty and I bought it for something like $13,500 after rebates. How can you beat it?
