Very sound car. Good fuel mileage. For the money, better than Honda/Nissan or Toyota. Would recommend this car for anyone looking.

I traded in a toyota pick up for this car in an effort to save gas on my long 45 mile one way trip to work. i was very impressed with the gas mileage which is about 10mpg better than what i was getting in the truck. not exactly a luxurious car but gets you from point a to b. roomier than i thought at first glance. fits 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably. great trunk space. for only a small 4 cylinder, car has good get up and go power. i prefer driving this around town over our smooth riding mini-van.

I traded my 05 Accent for the Elantra because I wanted a more roomier car. I find these cars are well made and are priced right for anyones budget. I like the smooth ride and the handling of this car. The interior is sharp and easy to find everything. I have a black car with black and grey interior. It has a great sound system, better then the Accent I owned. It came with a CD player which was a plus for me because I had to have one installed in my Accent. The seats are a soft velour cloth and very comfortable and the lumbar adjustment is great because I have a bad back and I can adjust it to my likeing. Its a car with a lot of bang for the buck. It drives like a dream!

I already own a Ford Focus and have owned Hondas, Nissans, and Toyotas. The first years mediocre performance of my 2005 Ford Focus SE made me look to an import. Honda, Nissan, and Toyota have priced themselves out of the budget market without providing that much higher quality and finish than Hyundai. I had reservations about Hyundai, but I did my research and was surprised at the reviews. Ive now owned this vehicle for a month and have averaged 27 mpg in city (Atlanta) driving. I have not found any quirks with the car and am pleased that I have had no buyers remorse. The car could use a few more horsepower, but with the 5 speed is still respectable. It may be dated, but its a bargain.

Im still trying to settle in. As a Dodge Ram driver who can no longer afford the gas to commute that way, the Elantra seems a bit on the low side with no place to put my jutting elbows. But the engine is responsive enough and doesnt intrude overmuch in the cabin. Pros: the controls are intelligently layed out and work well, the ride is less harsh than most small cars, and the heater/AC take very little time to get up to speed. Cons: Im having a hard time finding a comfortable seat position, though Im sure Ill eventually get there and and intermittant rattle in the dash is distracting.

The Car has had a few small problems, Nothing to do wih the engin or any of the mecanics just pieces of the interior comming off,Hyundai fixes with no problems. The car needs more HP badly its very slow off the start and passing Well dont try unless you have a lot of room to get by, its only got a 138 HP engin I believe adding about 40 more HPs would help emensly not to mention it would make it a lot more fun to drive But if youre looking for a good transport vehical its great for that I have the Hatch and with the back seat down you can put a lot of stuff in this little car Ive had it 5 months now and just went in for its 7,500 mile service no big problems as of yet

I recommend this car to anyone budgetting and low maintenance. The car looks nice runs nice and is nice. For the price it gives more than it costs. My mother loves it, it is compact but roomy inside. my brother who is 59 fits in the front and back sit comfortably. Working single moms, lay of the expsive suv this will handle the car seats and kiddies too.

I am very satisfied with my Elantra. It gets great gas mileage with the manual transmission, and has plenty of pickup for an economy car. The seats are comfortable, and I havent heard any rattles inside. Everything seems to be of high quality. The stereo sounds very good, much better than you would expect for a car in this class. Absolutely no complaints so far! For $13,500 after deducting the rebate you cant beat this deal. I have seen photos of what the new version will look like and the current Elantra looks better! Plus the new Elantra will likely have some quirks and design errors (being the first year after a redesign), so I felt more comfortable buying the current 06 model.

I have owned new Hondas (2001) Audi and Nissans and this car is just as good with riding features as the aforementioned, if not better than the Nissan and Audi.....great response on the highway, nimble handling, (better than the Honda)and fun to drive...I got 25 Mpg on my first mileage test, but the tradeoff in power is worth it... The dealership was very accommodating and so far completly satisified.... The only downside I can see is the materials are on the "Cheapie" side, and ashtray, accessories are not of the high quality standards of the Honda
